This type of device condenses a refrigerant with the outside air. The fluid comes from the compressor manufacturers of a refrigeration circuit, circulates inside the bank of tubes, initially cools, then condenses before it leaves in the liquid state. In certain circumstances, the industrial condenser can be designed to ensure supercooling of this fluid.
Frick Shell and tubeCondensers are available with a refrigeration capacity range from 10 tons to over 1000 tons. With the proper material selection, they can be applied to a multiplicity of refrigerants including R-717, R-22, and R-134a. Shell diameters start at 8 and go to 48 inches and larger. Bonnets ranging from single pass to 10 pass provide maximum selection flexibility. Multiple shell arrangements can be utilized to match large refrigeration systems.
