The CNTX™ combines small spot size and fast response to achieve high-speed contrast differentiation of both neutral and color targets. The sensor provides numerical display of 50 grayscale levels. The broad-spectrum light source allows accurate detection of a wide range of colors against any background. The flexibility of the CNTX™ makes it easy to set-up in a wide variety of printing, packaging and converting applications.
High color contrast sensitivity and resolution.
High detection speed, <150-microsecond discrete output response.
Broad-spectrum white LED light source allows detection of all colors.
Two gain settings and three light source intensity settings allow a wide range of adjustment capability.
Easy-to-use operator adjustable threshold.
Fast and convenient integration. In one sensor you get both analog and discrete output, auto-detect for PNP/NPN configuration.
Unique numerical display indicates measured levels making process setup easy.
Circular spot allows for any orientation of sensor to marks.

Special sensors
The detection of minimal contrast differences as well as colours or luminescent marks and materials calls for the use of special sensors. With contrast, colour and luminescence scanners from Leuze electronic, users are able to call on a highly diverse product spectrum. Depending on the application, users can select from sensors with different housing types, transmitting LEDs, outputs and teach-in functions.

SICK Contrast sensors detect minimum contrast levels at maximum speeds, for example print marks on foil, packaging and print products. Based on the reflection principle, they detect small differences in grey values between mark and background on matt, gloss or transparent surfaces.
