The REOTRON RP-Controller is used for control/regulation of reactive power compensation units. The standard RP-Controller is designed for a 400 VAC to 415 VAC (L-L) operation voltage and has a switchable current-measurement input 5A/1A. From the 24 V switching outputs for the compensation stages, it is possible to directly control 24 VDC relays or the REOTRON THYQC50 thyristor modules. The control principle enables minimum number of switching operations in order to ensure optimum capacitor life time. The 4-quadrant operation enables to feed back into the own power systems. In case of interruption in the voltage circuit, the zero voltage release isolates the compensation unit from mains and inhibits the equipment for a while. The 4-line-display in LCD design includes a bar-graph display for the relevant capacity/efficiency and also shows the switching condition of the individual stages. Error messages and events in general are displayed in plain text and stored in the logbook. The controller can also be monitored from an RS 232 interface as an option (remote enquiry).

The power steering controllers are designed to enable and to control the speed of hydraulic (series wound and permanent magnet ) motors used for power steering in industrial vehicles. These controls are used in conjunction hall effect pulse encoders that supply movement inputs from the steering wheel of the vehicle to the controller. The control will start the motor when steering wheel is moved and ramp up the speed of the motor proportionally to the speed which the steering wheel is rotated. If no movement of the steering wheel is sensed after a pre-set time, the control will shut off the motor, to save energy, reduce noise and extend battery life.
