Our Fiber Lasers provide a wide choice of pulse durations, repetition rates and peak powers. These lasers deliver a high power 1064nm laser beam directly to the work site via a flexible metal-sheathed fiber cable. Collimated, and then typically focused to a spot size of a few microns or less, the near diffraction-limited beam can mark, drill or machine a variety of materials.

Description
Corning fibre optic termination products range from field-installable to fan-out kits. Field-installable UniCam® connectors provide a highquality alternative to epoxy and polish connectors. They provide simple, quick and reliable connector installation on site. Fibre stubs are pre-installed in the ferrules of the UniCam connectors at the factory, thus eliminating the critical epoxy and olish operations in the field. This approach also allows the necessary high quality, controlled end-face processing to be performed as part of the production process in the factory, thus educing field technician influence to a minimum. On site, the stripped and cleaved field fibres are inserted into the UniCam connectors and retained. A mechanical splice inside the connector establishes the low-loss connection between the field fibre and the preinstalled fibre inside the connector. UniCam® Pretium -Performance Connectors (SC, ST, LC) offer best-in-class optical performance in a no-epoxy/nopolish (NENP) connector. UniCam Pretium-Performance Multimode Connectors have a 0.1 dB typical insertion loss, and UniCam Pretium-Performance inglemode Connectors offer 0.2 dB typical insertion loss.

Fiber Optic Panels from Lumitex provide high-brightness illumination for frontlighting and backlighting imaging systems used in machine vision applications such as sorting, counting, measurement and inspection.
Patented Lumitex technology enables these woven fiber optic panels to efficiently and economically emit uniform, diffuse and shadow free light over large surface areas. The panels can be driven by conventional LEDs (for long life at very low power) or by more powerful LED's (1 to 5 watts each) or by even more powerful halogen and HID sources (150+ watts).
Lumitex offers custom sizes and configurations. Panels can be provided with die-cut holes in the center to allow for a camera or microscope lens. For special applications and unique problems, Lumitex engineers work with customers to customize the company's machine vision lighting products to their individual specifications.
Off the shelf panels are available with lit areas of 2"x2", 3"x3", 4"x4", 4"x6" and 7"x8".
Due to Lumitex's relatively low cost and fast turnaround prototyping, our customer engineers can experiment with different lighting designs to get just the right light.

Lumitex uses sheets of fiber optic cloth to create LCD backlights of custom shapes, sizes and configurations. In a typical design, we use two or more layers of Woven Fiber Optic Cloth to form a rectangular light emitting area. This product is typically 0.068” (1.7mm) thick and anywhere from 1 sq inch to over 100 sq inches. The fibers coming off one end are then bundled into a circular ferrule and coupled to one or more LED light sources. An alternatives technology is our thinner UniGlo technology to create backlights as thin as 0.013” (0.33mm).
Lumitex Fiber Optic LCD BackLighting provides long life, low power, inert, maintenance free backlighting for all LCD and Display designs.
Longer Life - Durable fiber optic panel never needs replacement. Remote light source offers 10,000 to 100,000 hours life and easy replacement.
Lower Power - Sources require less power than EL, CCFL, or LED Array and no inverter. As low as 10-20mA at 2vdc
Compact Size - Panels are thin and sources are smaller than EL or CCFL inverters.
Heat/EMI Free - Fiber optic panel adds no heat or EMI to interfere with switch operation
Durable - Optical Fibers are not affected by extremes in humidity (0% to 100%) and temperature (-40 to +85 deg C)
Very Low Startup Costs - Minimal Engineering charge and usually no tooling. Low prototyping cost with no minimums.
