The Chevron secondary belt cleaner uses the speed and force of the belt rolling over our patented rubber disks. The unique rotary fingers are forced against the base of the chevrons to dislodge material from the belt.
- Sweeping Action - of each disk cleans in front of and behind each and every chevron.
- Easy Maintenance - no motors, air nozzles, or other problematic equipment to maintain.
- Works Great - in the pulp and paper, fertilizer, potash, and other bulk material industries where chevron style belts are heavily used.
- Solid or Notched - 8” (200mm) diameter abrasion resistant rubber disks are available depending on the height of the chevrons and the conveyor belt speed.

Flexco Chevron Belt Cleaner takes a new approach to cleaning chevron, cleated, and raised rib belts. Hundreds of rubber fingers create a rotary cleaning action that easily flicks carryback off the belt. And without the typical clogging and rapid wear problems associated with brush-type cleaners. Now there is a better solution for wet sand belts, wood chip belts and other raised top or grooved belts.

Primary or Pre-Cleaners
Belt cleaners are an essential part of any conveyor system. Belt cleaners help remove product carry back and prevent it from falling off at various points along the return side of the belt causing various housekeeping and maintenance problems. Carry back can lead to:
- Excessive buildup and wear on belt idlers and pulleys
-Conveyor belt misalignment due to the artificial crown created by the carry
back.
- Accumulation of material falling off idlers and structure to the ground or on buildings, vehicles or even people
- Negative and unsafe work environment

Installed on the face of the discharge pulley below the material trajectory, Martin Engineering Pre-Cleaners remove carryback with firm but gentle pressure.
Pre-Cleaners remove the majority of carrryback, leaving only fines and slime for the follow-up secondary cleaning systems. This multiple-cleaner system provides effective cleaning without becoming overwhelmed by an onslaught of material.
Martin Engineering offers pre-cleaners in a variety of color-coded high-performance urethanes to provide the best solution for challenging application requirements.
MARTIN® SHD Belt Cleaner

Pre-Scraper Type B9
For many years HOSCH Scrapers have been at the forefront of belt cleaning technology, always meeting the exacting requirements of modern conveying systems at low operating costs.
The HOSCH Type B9 Scraper with segmented blades is recommended as a Pre-Scraper and as a Head Drum Scraper and is especially effective for removing heavy residue of materials adhering to belt surfaces.
When installed with the HOSCH patented Sprung Blade Scraper as a secondary unit the Type B9 Scraper contributes to the cleaning efficiency of the system.
The polyurethane blades which are inclined against the direction of belt travel, ensure effective cleaning of the belt and at the same time optimum removal of material.
With the addition of Reversing Elasto Assemblies, the Type B9 Scraper will operate on reversing belt systems without restrictions.

Martin Engineering Secondary Cleaners provide the final precision cleaning to remove the carryback that has passed the pre-cleaners.
Depending on material and conditions, some applications may require more than one secondary cleaner, or even the installation of tertiary cleaning systems to remove the remaining fines and water from the belt.
One or more secondary cleaners should be installed at the point where the conveyor belt is leaving the head pulley. If that point is inaccessible, the cleaner(s) should be moved further along the conveyor return, to a point where the belt is firmly supported against a roller to allow the application of firm cleaning pressure.
HAWG BONE® Secondary Cleaner
Hammer Maintenance Saves Time
Blade replacement is fast and easy; just pound out worn blades and pound in the new ones.
No Damage To Splice Or Blade
Resilient urethane cleaning elements absorb impact, let splices pass without damage.
Durable & Long-Lasting
Rugged, one-piece molded urethane elements stand up to tough conditions.

Now there is a new urethane-blade precleaner that outperforms other “hot” blades. The High-Temp ConShear™ Blade is designed for continuous, ambient temperatures up to 275ºF (135ºC) and spikes to 325ºF (163ºC). This bright yellow blade takes the heat and yet provides the extended wear life of Flexco’s standard ConShear™ blade.
More wear life means fewer blade change-outs. And a visual check tensioner makes maintenance easy. A quick measurement of the tensioner spring lets you know if the blade is at optimal tension. If retensioning is needed, simply turn the adjusting nut to restore optimal cleaning tension. Comes standard with a blade length of belt width minus 2".

Mink round brushes - Highly efficient tools with countless applications
Mink round brushes can be applied to solve problems in a wide range of areas, and our engineers have the ideas to exploit this potential. When it comes to flexibility, no industrial tool can match these brushes. We offer a huge selection of models: roller brushes (with stub shafts), round brushes (with hollow centre spindle, no shaft), the Mink HP-System (two half segments, without shaft) and the Mink Zick-Zack-System (modules, with or without shaft). Finally, there are Mink web spreader brush rolls for modern processing of plastic film, textiles and many other kinds of web.
Advantages:
• Suitable for goods of all kinds
• Versatile and economical
• Maximum cleaning power combined with optimum surface care
• Form and stiffness according to individual requirements
• Less need for cleaning agents thanks to the mechanical action of the bristles – economic and ecological benefits
|
|
Mink roller brushes (BW) - Individually configured roller brushes with shafts
Mink roller brushes differ from other Mink round brushes by virtue of their integrated shafts. Owing to the wide-ranging demands made on these brushes, especially in terms of shaft dimensions, there is no advantage in maintaining a stock range. Nevertheless, with our extensive experience in this area we are able to configure special brushes for you very quickly. On account of its extraordinary versatility the Mink Zick-Zack-System can frequently serve as the basis for a reliable solution.
Your advantage:
• Individual configurations for special purposes
|
|
|
The modular principle underlying our one-way system of trapezoidal toothed roller brushes provides for fast, low cost changes of brushes. They can be installed and similarly removed by a simple hand operation. The teeth lock securely (and in a non-twist manner); as a result, a gap-free bristle surface is assured. Precise true running is guaranteed at all times. The DT system consists of brush segments which are mounted to the brush core with two locking collars. Due to the special modular principle on which they are based, worn individual segments on a roller brush can be replaced
