Balsa is a naturally recurring Ecuadorian resource. The balsa plant grows from a seedling to a mature tree in 4-6 years reaching heights of up to 28 meters (90 ft) before coming to the end of its natural life. ProBalsa is high quality coring material made from end-grain balsa wood. Its end-grain, micro-honeycomb structure offers exceptional strength and stiffness.

Divinycell F is the new low FST (fire, smoke and toxicity) core
material from DIAB that has been specifically developed for commercial
aircraft and public transportation. It more than exceeds the
USA and European regulatory requirements for aircraft interiors.
Also it meets the latest European fire standards for passenger
trains. Other key features include 200°C (392°F) processing
temperature, superior damage tolerance, exceptional fatigue life,
low water absorption and excellent heat ageing at 180°C (356° F).
Resistance to the majority of aircraft fluids is also excellent.

ArmaFORM is the solution capable of coping with all requirements in the composite market, the innovative foam core made of PET foam is lightweight, strong and resistant to both heat and chemicals. It can be covered with most laminates and foils.
- Low weight (Available densities: 100 kg/m3 and 150 kg/m3)
- Extreme mechanical resistance through high compression strength, high stability and high shear modulus
- High structural stability
- High temperature resistance: has an excellent processing temperature.
- Short-term maximum temperature up to 200°C.
- Thermoformable
- High resistance to chemicals
- Very good thermal insulation due to its excellent thermal conductivity properties
- Very low water absorption due to its inherant cell structure
- Good bonding behaviour with all laminates and foils
- Easy to use with all common procedures used in composite applications
- Low toxic smoke emission and no corrosive gas development in the event of a fire
- Gridscore version also possible

The Divinycell range of polymer foam cores is the most comprehensive available. Each grade has been developed so that it meets a specific set of performance criteria. This allows designers, engineers and composite manufacturers to select the most appropriate material for their specific application. If you need a general purpose material then Divinycell H will probably meet your requirements. Need excellent FST (fire smoke and toxicity) properties then look no further than Divinycell F or P. Each grade is also available in a range of densities so that you can fine tune your selection. All grades are also available in a range of finishes to facilitate installation, enhance component quality and to meet process requirements. For series production, all Divinycell cores can be supplied in ready-made construction kits.

Corecell is the leading structural foam core material, which has become widely accepted for the construction of large, high performance structures.
Single skin laminates, made from glass, carbon or other fibres, are strong and can bend without cracking, but are not always stiff, due to their relatively low thickness. A structural foam cored composite solution provides the stiffness that laminates need without unnecessary weight.
The Corecell product range is suitable for a wide range of demanding structural applications and different composite manufacturing processes, Corecell is fully compatible with polyester, vinylester, and epoxy resins, as well as all commonly used epoxy prepreg systems.
Corecell T-Foam has been developed as a technological step-change from traditional PVC and Balsa structural core. It is ideal for applications where loads are less dynamic in nature, such as in the construction of wind turbines shells and is an outstanding core material in every application where balsa or X-PVC is commonly used, providing as it does, high mechanical toughness and thermal stability giving excellent fatigue characteristics, reliability and service life.
Corecell K-Foam is a development of Corecell T-Foam with higher temperature stability for processing under vacuum. It shares Corecell TFoam's exceptional balance of toughness and stiffness. This makes it ideal for large-scale prepreg and SPRINT manufacturing processes such as wind turbine spar and primary structure. It also presents a cost-effective alternative to PMI foams in a wide range of applications, where the very highest thermal stability is not required.
