Current transducer CROMPTON INSTRUMENTS

An extensive range of high specification transducers providing measurement, isolation and conversion of electrical parameters into industry standard DC output signals, RS232 and Modbus. The ranges offer protection against high voltage and overload, and are resistant to vibration in harsh electrical environments.

Current transducer NK Technologies

VFD and SCR output waveforms are rough approximations of a sine wave. There are numerous spikes and dips in each cycle. ATR transducers use a mathematical algorithm called "True RMS," which integrates the actual waveform over time. The output is the amperage component of the true power (heating value) of the AC current waveform. True RMS is the only way to accurately measure distorted AC waveforms. Select ATR transducers for nonlinear loads or in "noisy" power environments.

The current waveform of a typical linear load is a pure sine wave. AT transducers measure the peaks of these sine waves, then calculate the average amperage. This works well on constant speed linear loads in a "clean" power environment. Select AT transducers for strictly linear loads on "clean" power.

Closed loop Hall effect current sensor Honeywell Sensing and Control

Honeywell's closed loop current sensors consist of a Hall-effect sensor mounted in an air gap of a magnetic core, a coil wound around the core and a current amplifier. The current carrying conductor placed through the aperture of the sensor produces a magnetic field that is proportional to the current. The core concentrates the magnetic field which is measured by the Hall sensor. The Hall sensor is connected to the input of the current amplifier, which drives the coil. The current through the coil produces an opposing field to that provided by the current through the aperture. The magnetic flux in the sensor core is constantly controlled at zero. The amount of current required to balance zero flux is the measure of the primary current flowing through the conductor, multiplied by the number of turns on the coil. This current can be expressed as a voltage by passing it through a resistor. Variety of package styles available.
