High chipbreaker wall
By lowering the cutting edge height, high and broad chipbreaker wall can be formed near the corner point.
Can restrict thin chips formed in finishing.
Even at the allowable highest feed, chips do not surmount the
chipbreaker wall.
Stable insert seating
Sufficient boss face is formed along the insert outline.
Improved seating stability obtained with the whole of the insert.
Inclination
By inclining the cutting edge from the boundary between the corner radius and straight cutting edge, the side rake angle is increased in the direction of the arrow.
In profiling, chips are forced to curl sideward and be broken.
In undercutting, chips are evacuated smoothly.
Dimple structure
A dimple is formed near the corner point on the rake face.
Can reduce the contacting area between chips and the rake face, suppressing the occurrence of thermal cracks.

Fives Cinetic’s CITCO brand DIAPAX (PCD) and BORPAX (PCBN) cutting tools offer a cost-effective alternative to conventional cutting tool materials for high-metal removal rates, improved finishes, and extended tool life in maching ferrous (BORPAX) and non-ferrous (DIAPAX) workpieces. These superabrasive-based materials can be used in a wide range of tools including drills, reamers, gun drills, piston and standard groove tools. CITCO technicians can also incorporate them in wear parts and intricate form tools.
DIAPAX PCD tools can provide up to 300 times the life of carbide machining non-ferrous and abrasive non-metallic workpieces in turning, boring, facing, forming, milling, grooving, reaming, parting, and fly-cutting operations, and provide similar improvements when used as wear parts.
BORPAX solid PCBN inserts provide similar performance improvements over carbide in machining ferrous materials. They are made of very fine, carefully graded CBN crystals in a sintered ceramic matrix, and provide usable cutting edges on both top and bottom surfaces.
Both materials are available as standard round inserts in a variety of sizes, and both can be custom fabricated in a wide range of sizes and profiles to meet specific application requirements. Standard tools are typically delivered in 10 weeks or less.

BNC200 reliable tool life on a wide range of applications
Our coated CBN grade BNC200 offers safe reliable cutting, high constance of dimension and predictable tool life. The newly developed grade with enhanced edge strength is coated with TiAlN-base ceramic for excellent wear resistance and realises extended tool life even when interrupted cutting. This grade is especially suitable for medium speed machining and carburised surface.

PCD-inserts
All ISO inserts can be equipped with PCD or CBN.
The cutting material is defined by the machined material. Through highly precise techniques for eroding it is possible to achieve tool geometries that are otherwise not possible with solely grinding.
The edges can be done with or without a chip angle, the application of different chip breaker geometries is also possible.
