Absopulse's railway power supplies are designed to meet rail-specific standards including EN50155 and EN50121-3-2. These encapsulated units operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and humidity up to 95%, and are conduction/convection cooled.

These primary switched DC/DC converters of MTM Power GmbH, the specialist of individual power supplies, are especially designed for automotive applications and operate according to the push-pull principle, i. e. the input dc-voltage is chopped by two push-pull working transistors with a frequency of approx. 70 - 100 kHz. With the help of a transformer and a secondary linear choke, a galvanically isolated output voltage is produced which is adjusted by pulse-width modulation according to the current mode principle. The converters need no ground load and are short-circuit protected by primary and secondary power limitation. The converters are maintenance free, vacuum potted, prepared for the use in devices with Protection Class II and fulfill the low voltage directive. They show a mechanically and electrically rugged design using SMD-technology and undergo an automatic piece-by-piece test. To ensure a smooth operation, it is necessary to mount the converters on a heat-dissipating surface. The converters are available with 75 W, 120 W, 150 W and 200 W output power and the following connecting types: flying leads or screw connectors.

The new primary switched DC/DC converters with 250 W and 400 W output power of MTM Power GmbH are especially designed for automotive applications. They operate according to the push-pull principle, i. e. the input dc-voltage is chopped by two push-pull working transistors with a frequency of approx. 60 kHz. With the help of a transformer and a secondary linear choke, a galvanically isolated output voltage (12 V or 24 V) is produced which is adjusted by pulse-width modulation according to the current mode principle. The series PCMD250W and PCMD400W are available with input voltages of 24 VDC (16,8…36 VDC), 80 VDC (50…150 VDC) or 110 VDC (66…154 VDC) and can be connected via screw connectors. The dimensions are 150 x 86 x 55 mm (L x W x H). Due to this compact design, they are also suitable for applications where only little space is available. The converters need no ground load, are maintenance free and short-circuit protected by primary and secondary power limitation. They are vacuum potted and prepared for the use in devices with Protection Class. As an option, they are available for the use in railway applications. Further features are a mechanically and electrically rugged design using SMD-technology and an automatic piece-by-piece test.

The product family PMG/PCMG with DC input voltage completes the range of primary switched MTM Power Modules. The modules offer an input range of 20...72 VDC and allow - due to the different types available in this series - efficient solutions in numerous application fields. They are available with single, dual or triple outputs. The single and dual (sym.) versions are UL 60 950 and UL 508 approved. Dimensions are 90,5 x 65,5 x 33,5 mm for PCB-mounting (PMG) and 120,0 x 65,5 x 33,0 mm for chassis mounting (PCMG). Thus, they offer the same dimensions and pinning as the standard AC/DC and low voltage modules of the same wattage range which allows the customer to design only one layout for standard AC, low voltage and DC input. The vacuum encapsulated devices offer an isolation of 3,3 kVrms and comply to the up-to-date EN standards as regards CE conformity. Further features are rugged design, SMD-technology, automatic 100 % final test and 100-%-burn-in-test. The series PMG/PCMG offers 15 W or 30 W constant output wattage, is short circuit protected and needs no ground load.

Our range of isolated DC/DC converters in SMD package offers products from 1 to 15W with unregulated or regulated output voltages. All models provide high pin accuracy and are qualified for automated ick-and-place machines.
They can withstand the high temperatures in lead-free reflow solder processes and comply with IPC J-STD-020C standard. All products can also be supplied in tape and reel package.
High Performance 3 to 60W
Our TEN series is an extensive range of high performance DC/DC converters with output power ranges from 3 to 60W, offering excellent specifications and very high power density in shielded metal packages. Models with wide 2:1 or ultra-wide 4:1 input ranges are available. All TEN series models offer an extended operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C and provide an internal EMI-filter.

With the help of a transformer and a secondary linear choke, a galvanically isolated output voltage (5,2 V, 12 V or 24 V) is produced which is adjusted by pulse-width modulation according to the current mode principle. The converters are available with a wide input range for battery voltages of 24 V, 36 V, 72 V, 96 V and 110 V acc. EN 50 155. The dimensions are 130 x 69 x 30 mm (length x width x height). Because of this flat design, they are also suitable for applications where only little space is available. The maintenance-free converters are connected via spring clamps, which meet the special requirements e. g. in railway applications as regards to vibration resistance and reduced time for wiring.

Absopulse’s line of plug-in (Eurocard) railway converters are designed to meet the requirements of EN 50155 for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock. They also meet EN 55022 Class B EMI and EN 50121-3-2 (EMI and EMC). The plug-in (Eurocard) series is rated for operation over a -25 to +70oC temperature range without derating, with natural convection cooling. Features typically include full electronic protection on the input and output, optocoupler, optional alarm output and optional control input. An optional built-in redundancy diode to allow for parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy is available on most designs.
These compact plug-in modules are typically used in 19” rack-mount applications. They are heavily ruggedized and conformal coated and designed to meet IEC 61373 Categories 1 A & B shock and vibration standards.

XP Power announces its JCA series of miniature, board-mounted low power DC/DC converters. Measuring just 1 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches (25.4 x 20.3 x 10.0 mm), the device's shielded metal package is 0.25 inches (6.4 mm) shorter than the 1.25 inch (31.8 mm) industry norm. Using the customary 24-pin DIP layout, the units occupy 20% less printed circuit board area than traditional products. RFB300/350 series is a high efficiency, enclosed, isolated dc-dc converter series in an industry standard half-brick package that provides up to 350 W of output power. The series delivers very high usable output power for today's high performance RF power amplifier and similar applications.
