Sens-Tech offers a remotely controlled, multi-channel, photomultiplier power supply system. HVSys provides individual channel control and monitoring of the high voltage power supply of each channel, using only 3 wires. A unique feature is that HV is generated on the base of the photomultiplier, avoiding the inconvenience and problems associated with high voltage distribution. All that is required is a +12V supply with sufficient current capability for the number of channels chosen; the supply current required is less than 25 mA per channel.

The plug-in (Eurocard) series is rated for operation over a -25 to +70oC temperature range without derating, with natural convection cooling. Features typically include full electronic protection on the input and output, optocoupler, optional alarm output and optional control input. An optional built-in redundancy diode to allow for parallel connection to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy is available on most designs.

These designs are based on field-proven topology with excellent track-record in hundreds of applications. The RWY converters are conduction cooled via a base plate and rated for operation over a -40 to +70oC cold-plate temperature range without derating. The use of components with many years of established reliability and generous headroom results in a high demonstrated MTBF.

The voltage required for direct current (DC) can vary considerably onboard a yacht. A bow thruster or a winch installation often works at 24V. But navigation and communication equipment mostly requires 12V. By using this small and lightweight DC-DC converter another voltage than applied in your basic system can be reached. It also ensures that your onboard equipment has a stable power supply with the right voltage.
