The laser distance-meter LMC-J-0310 is robustly engineered especially for industrial applications. It works at distances up to 3000 m. Up to 300m and more (depending on target reflectivity) no special reflector is needed. Measuring values are provided continuously via the integrated RS422/RS232 or analogue 4..20 mA interfaces. As option, ProfiBus and SSI interface is available. In this way the device is providing position and velocity information during the production process.
The LMC-J-0310 can be used in distance and speed measurement mode. All measuring parameters are adjustable. The high measuring speed allows the distance measurement of extremely fast moving objects.
The operation principle of the LMC-J-0310 is time delay measurement, the measuring time is adjustable between 0,5 and 1000 ms (a special version with 0,1ms is also available). Within a fraction of second one distance measurement is obtained by means of several hundreds or thousands of individual measures.

The RACO path-sensory system has been specially designed for exactly positioning and switching off electro-magnetic actuators in the final position. Not only is the position ascertained unconventionally by electro-magnetic means (e.g., gear-shifting mechanism) while doing so but it will also be determined via a close-coupled magnetic field without any movement.
The EPS consists of a printed circuit board and a magnetic holder with the magnet. The electronic positioning sensor (EPS) is integrated into the device%u2019s supplementary casing (A) on the motor shaft's end of the servo-motor or in the device's supplementary box (D) on the coupling casing. The installation, commissioning (starting up), maintenance (servicing) and upgrading is simplified in comparison with a conventional design that has mechanical limit switches and a shift transmission which must be adjusted individually.

Magnetic Reed Switches
Magnetic reed switches are available on nearly all air cylinders offered with Ultramation Linear Thrusters. Reed switches are actuated by the close proximity of a magnet which is included within the cylinder as part of the piston assembly. A reed switch contains a normally open sealed reed that closes or makes in the presence of a magnetic field. The reed switch returns to the normally open state once the magnetic field is removed. Reed switches, both with and without LED position indicators, are used in the vast majority of applications where the magnetic piston briefly comes to rest at each end of the stroke.

Designed to make installation easier, GE Security Industrial position sensors have earned their reputation for quality. They are built for durability and dependability. Most are conservatively rated at 100,000 cycles under full load, and 10,000,000 cycles under dry circuit. Every reed connection is hand soldered and the reeds in all models are environmentally sealed. Like the GuardSwitch safety interlock switches, our position sensors are tested before they leave the factory - 100% of the time.

SICK offers a comprehensive portfolio of magnetic proximity sensors in cylindrical (MM) and square (MQ) configurations. The MM sensors are available with standard sensing ranges and, in the Advanced series, with extended sensing ranges. This means that the possibility to use smaller magnets will open completely new applications. The Namur version of the MM sensors completes the series.

The industry's most complete line of contact and non-contact products. GE Security Industrial safety interlock switches are used to detect the opening of guards-including doors, gates and/or removable covers-that prevent access to dangerous parts of a machine, and to help deter tampering with the guards or the internal machine controls. As with all GE Security Industrial 300-BT products, the safety interlock switches are in full compliance with the most current and required standards. These include IMQ, CE, VDE, UL, CSA, IEC, EN and Semi S2 standards.

The detection area of the OP-08C consists of 10 independent areas. By rotating a spherical lens, the size of the area can be easily adjusted between standard size and large size.
As the sensor is very small, it can be aesthetically fitted into the entrance surround. It can be embedded into a transom or ceiling up to 4m.
Use of proprietary sensors and microcontrollers reduce faulty movement due to rain, snow or insects.

The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It was invented at Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1936 by W. B. Elwood. It consists of a pair of contacts on ferrous metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contacts may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present, or normally closed and opening when a magnetic field is applied.
A magnetic field (such as from an energized coil around the glass tube or a permanent magnet moved towards it) will cause the contacts to pull together, thus completing an electrical circuit. The stiffness of the reeds causes them to separate, and open the circuit, upon removal of the magnetic field. A more complicated configuration contains a nonferrous normally closed contact that opens when the ferrous normally open contact closes. Good electrical contact is assured by plating a thin layer of precious metal over the flat contact portions of the reeds.

Sensors are elementary components of automation. Increasingly precise and wear-free sensors with more and more reliable measurements enable a continuous improvement of the production process. Here, no-touch sensors working with an almost unlimited lifetime are playing a major role. In distance measuring, different measuring methods depending on the measuring range have established themselves. For the medium range between a few centimetres and several metres optical and ultrasonic systems are mainly used. Ultrasonic distance sensors are used in harsh, industrial environments, because they are independent of the material and the colour of the object to be measured, they cannot be disturbed by light, dust and fog, and they work very precisely and linearly with background suppression.
ELTROTEC Sensor GmbH ultrasonics has more than 20 years of experience in addition to the higher-end laser distance sensors with more accuracy, speed and precision. Trust our products for your application in:

Light and sound are two natural phenomena which let every living being recognise their environment without physical contact and over widely varying distances. Likewise, industrial processes require reliable information. SICK's ultrasonic sensors detect objects and measure distances with high accuracy
Further advantages:
- the outstanding background suppression and the reliable detection of objects
- almost independently of their appearance.
the application determines the output - binary or analogue - according to your wish.
|
|
Detection, the measurement and the removal of not easily detectable objects are carried out in a sure and reliable way by means of our detectors with ultrasounds until a distance of 3 meters with a high and constant resolution, in digital and analogical mode. They tolerate clogging, dust and moisture. They are especially ready to detect transparent, solid objects and in the form of granules. The electronic device Teach-in you makes it possible to adjust your detectors in a correct way in a turn of hand. The solution when the other techniques do not give satisfaction.
- Recognizes also difficult surfaces
- High resolution
- fine Beam with ultrasounds
- Small cases

Ultrasonic waves are used to enable stable detection of transparent objects, such as transparent films, glass bottles, plastic bottles, and plate glass, using Through-beam or Reflective Sensors.
