The CUBIC diaphragm pumps are known for their high performance, power and sturdiness that make them suitable for pumping fluid with a very high apparent viscosity, of up to 50.000 cps (at 20° C) even when suspended solid parts are present. The dry suction capacity from considerable suction heights when the pump is not flooded, together with the possibility to fine-tune the speed without a loss in pressure, flow rate and head, and the possibility of loadless operation without causing any damage, make these pumps extremely versatile. The vast choice of composition materials allows you to determine the best chemical compatibility with the fluid and/or the environment without neglecting the temperature aspect. Their construction makes them particularly suitable for severe environments with high humidity or in potentially explosive environments (ATEX certification).
Main features:
- executions in: Polypropylene, PVDF/ECTFE
- use in explosive atmospheres (ATEX certification);
- suitable for severe environments and with high humidity;
- dry operation;
- dry self-priming;
- supply with non-lubricated air;
- adjustable flow rate and head;
- fine-tuning of the speed at constant pressure;
- possibility of twin manifolds (two separate intakes and deliveries);
- bench or ceiling installation;
- three delivery and intake positions
- ease of maintenance and replacement of parts;
- very good performance/cost ratio.

RD5 Series
Rotary diaphragm pump
An eccentrically mounted bearing on the shaft, rotates within a flexible diaphragm. As the shaft rotates, the bearing flexes the diaphragm, squeezing the liquid through the pump.
|
|
Double diaphragm pumps, thanks to their technical characteristics, guarantee the greatest level of safety in all industrial applications where the use of compressed air driven pumps is required in the presence of particularly aggressive fluids.
These pumps may be used in explosive environments (ATEX), in situations characterized by high humidity and where the hazards of dry operation are high.
The pumps function using two membranes that simultaneously operate in opposition to each other: the air introduced behind the first membrane pushes the product being pumped towards the discharge and, simultaneously, through the force of the shaft, it drags the other membrane resulting in suction in the suction line. The two Long-Life membranes, which work alternatively in two directions, allow an extremely long duration even when subjected to particularly severe working conditions.

A favorite among Process Professionals, the Expert Series diaphragm pump line features the best total cost of ownership of any diaphragm pump on the market. These pumps provide optimum energy efficiency and downtime solutions. A large range of material and porting configurations are available with flow rates up to 1041 l/min.
For stall-free, ice-free operation. The patented “Unstallable” unbalanced air valve design avoids stalling issues associated with other pumps. The “Quick-Dump” exhaust valves divert cold exhaust air from ice-prone components, preventing freezing. This is the most reliable pump line on the market today.

The FEM diaphragm dosing pump has been specially developed
in order to accurately dose small quantities of liquid over a long
period of time whereby two of its most distinctive features are its
compact size and robustness (pump and electronics). The FEM
pump and electronics makes a complete dosing system which
is suitable for both simple as well as complex applications. With
the functions „quasi continuous flow“ and „batch dispensing“ the
FEM diaphragm pump differentiates itself from pumps based on
alternative technologies eg. piston, gear, syringe and peristaltic
pumps. Other interesting features are its high reliability, a
favourable purchasing price and low maintenance costs.
KNF has developed a specially programmed electronic control
module so that the integrated solenoid valve and the movements
of the diaphragm are exactly synchronised. This results in an
exact dosing which is gentle and low in pulsation. In addition
to these unique pump characteristics the control module also
allows a wide range of control possibilities to be used eg.
serial interfaces.
The dosing pump is self priming, maintenance free and can
be run dry

Typical applications for chemistry diaphragm pumps include evacuating chemically aggressive gases from such equipment as rotary evaporators, vacuum drying cabinets and centrifugal concentrators. Chemistry diaphragm pumps from VACUUBRAND have uncompromising chemistry designs: They are very resistant to chemical vapors from inlet to exhaust, and are very tolerant of condensate. Our two-, three- and four-stage pumps also have a gas ballast valve that helps to preserve pump performance when working with condensable vapors. Pumping chambers are hermetically separated from the drive space, ensuring long lifetimes of mechanical parts. Most importantly, diaphragm pumps are oil-free, for vastly reduced service demands compared with oil-sealed pumps. They eliminate the water waste of water-jet aspirators, and the contaminated waste-oil disposal of rotary vane pumps.
- PTFE sandwich diaphragms and valves made of perfluoro elastomer or PTFE

ATEX
Chemistry Diaphragm pumps
Chemistry vacuum systems
Vacuum gauges
VACUUBRAND offers chemistry diaphragm pumps for use in potentially explosive atmospheres of equipment category 2 (e.g. for zone 1) with ATEX-conformity (European Union Directive 94/9/EC). Chemistry diaphragm pumps offer an excellent basis for avoiding ignition sources due to their high chemical resistance, their oilless design, the absence of gliding surfaces and the hermetic sealing of the pumping chamber.

An elastomer diaphragm (see illustration) is moved up and down by an eccentric. On the down-stroke it draws the air or gas being handled through the inlet valve. On the up-stroke the diaphragm forces the medium through the exhaust valve and out of the head. The compression chamber is hermetically sealed from the drive mechanism by the diaphragm. the pumps transfer, evacuate, and compress completely oil-free.
Features of Diaphragm Pumps
-uncontaminated transfer, no pollution of the media
-maintenance-free
-compact design
-smooth running
-easy installation
-with very few exceptions, the pumps can operate in any installed position
Liquid pumps have the following additional features:
-self-priming
-will operate dry
In addition to the above features, diaphragm pumps for gases have excellent gas tightness.

VACUUBRAND diaphragm pumps are totally oil free, mechanical vacuum pumps. Diaphragm pumps are the efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to water jet pumps. They do not consume water and, therefore, they do not produce contaminated waste water. Diaphragm pumps can be used in a multitude of applications for vacuum generation in laboratories and process plants, such as vacuum filtration, vacuum degasing, vacuum impregnation, vacuum drying chambers, rotary evaporators, distillation, gel dryers, gas analytical systems and roughing of wide-range turbo molecular pumps.
Diaphragm pumps offer low ultimate vacuum down to 80 mbar (one-stage pumps), 9 mbar (two-stage pumps), 2 mbar (three-stage pumps) or 0.3 mbar (four-stage pumps). Optimized kinetics for minimum work and wear of the diaphragm result in high reliability, low scuffing, long life and low noise level of the diaphragm. Only selected resistant materials such as FPM (e.g. Viton® fluoroelastomers) and aluminium or PTFE compounds - depending on the version - are used for the gas and vapour contacted parts.
