Series Verderair VA and Almatec
These balanced series of compressed air driven, double diaphragm pumps consists of two series: Verderair VA all purpose, multi-functional diaphragm pumps and Almatec diaphragm pumps for advanced/difficult applications. Both non metallic and metallic versions are available.

Models

These pumps provide flexible, reliable flow in all circumstances. The control valve guarantees perfect operation that never jams and that does not have to be lubricated even at low compressed air pressure and high backpressure.
Capacity max: 1050 l/min., lift max.: 84 kPa.
Ball valves
The Verderair VA models are equipped with ball valves. They ensure that the pressure drop is low during circulation, resulting in a higher circulation than can be achieved with cylindrical valves. Also small particles pumpable.

Double diaphragm pumps, thanks to their technical characteristics, guarantee the greatest level of safety in all industrial applications where the use of compressed air driven pumps is required in the presence of particularly aggressive fluids.
These pumps may be used in explosive environments (ATEX), in situations characterized by high humidity and where the hazards of dry operation are high.
The pumps function using two membranes that simultaneously operate in opposition to each other: the air introduced behind the first membrane pushes the product being pumped towards the discharge and, simultaneously, through the force of the shaft, it drags the other membrane resulting in suction in the suction line. The two Long-Life membranes, which work alternatively in two directions, allow an extremely long duration even when subjected to particularly severe working conditions.

The CUBIC diaphragm pumps are known for their high performance, power and sturdiness that make them suitable for pumping fluid with a very high apparent viscosity, of up to 50.000 cps (at 20° C) even when suspended solid parts are present. Pumps for the printing and paper industry have to meet definite requirements. The pneumatic diaphragm pumps of the ALMATEC F-Series have been developed especially for applications with glues, flexo-print inks, and UV-varnishes.
ALMATEC pneumatic diaphragm pumps of the F-Series are available in two sizes (F 10 and F 20) with max. capacities of 600 resp. 1200 l/h.
The special design includes two separated liquid chambers as well as an integrated pulsation damper, so the pumps provide delivery as well as re-delivery. No second pump is required.
Example flexo-print ink: Ink is transported to the printing machine via the delivery chamber. The second chamber of the pump can be used as an extractor pump. Ink not needed can be sucked from the doctor chamber back to the supply container.
F-Series pumps meet the ATEX requirements of the directive 94/9/EG.

STANDARD FEATURES
Pumps are ruggedly constructed to withstand the rigors of the pressroom. The inlets and outlets can be configured to meet the requirements of bottom printing corrugated lines or the top decks of the largest CI presses. A variety of corrosion resistant constructed materials permits use with water, alcohol, and solvent-based inks and coatings.
Pump is designed for easy maintenance with a minimal amount of parts.
For situations requiring controlled flow rates from 40 gallons per minute down to a trickle.
Air operation is inherently explosion proof.
Self-priming with the ability to pump liquids containing small solids.
Optional air-powered mixer is available for in-tank agitation.

ALMATEC pneumatic diaphragm pumps of type AD 6 are a special development for laboratory applications and for sampling water from wells for continuous monitoring of the groundwater under landfills.
They have a maximum delivery volume of 250 l/h which can be infinitely varied by adjusting the air flow. AD 6 pumps are equipped with spring-loaded valves and can therefore be installed in any position.
The housing is made of solid PTFE conductive. This material is resistant to corrosion by virtually all media. Its conductivity permits use of the pump in explosion-hazard areas and for inflammable liquids.
AD 6 pumps meet the ATEX requirements of the directive 94/9/EG.

Since 1984 ALMATEC manufactures special pumps for the chemicals supply and circulation in the semiconductor industry. The latest generation is the FUTUR, a pump series particularly developed for the special requirements of these applications.

The ProMinent® Duodos pumps are air operated diaphragm pumps. Since they are pneumatically operated the pumps require no electric components. The pump is dry-proof and self-priming. The pump feed rate can be adjusted by changing the pressure in the air supply. The pumps feed up to approx. 6 700 l/h media to a feed lift of 70 m.
