The V2 System Flow Meter has an advanced differential pressure flow sensing design. The unit features built-in flow conditioning for superior accuracy. The V2 System is the ideal new or retrofit flow meter for multiple clean water and wastewater treatment applications.
The V2 System is especially useful when irregular or crowded piping and equipment make magnetic, turbine or venturi tube meters impractical or unworkable. Other flow technologies often require complex or expensive construction. The V2 System reduces initial costs substantially. The unit eliminates longer straight-run piping requirements.
V2 System’s pre-packaged, built-in 3-way valve isolates the transmitter from the process fluid flow for easy maintenance. No need to shut down the pipeline. The flow meter arrives wet-flow calibrated direct from the factory. The ready-to-install V2 reduces many headaches of adding a flow meter to most flow installations.
Key features include:
Installation: 0-3 diameters
upstream; 0-1 diameter downstream
Acts as its own flow conditioner
Displays rate of flow and total flow
Integral or remote mounted flow display
Accuracy up to /-1% of rate
Flow range: 10:1
Totalizer pulse and linear 4-20 mAdc
outputs
Low Maintenance
Lines 4-18 inches or greater

High-Performance, Space-Saver V-Cone Steam Flow Meter for Crowded Plants & Institutional Facilities
Process, plant and facility engineers will find the new V-Cone Steam Flow Meter from McCrometer delivers precision steam flow measurement in a space-saver design that eliminates many of the common equipment layout headaches typically associated with a wide variety of processes requiring steam injection or heating, as well as in HVAC systems for plants and institutional facilities.
The new V-Cone Flow Meter for steam provides accurate flow measurement in steam process lines connecting boilers with process equipment or HVAC systems. At the same time, the V-Cone’s self-conditioning flow design eliminates most of the straight-pipe requirements typically needed by many flow meter technologies, by controlling swirl and other flow disturbances in the pipe that affect measurement accuracy.
Accurate to +0.5%, with a repeatability of +0.1%, the V-Cone requires only 0-3 pipe straight diameters upstream and 0-1 diameters downstream from the meter. Nearly all other types of flow meters require as many as 10 pipe straight diameters upstream and 5 pipe diameters downstream from the meter. In today’s crowded plant equipment environments, the V-Cone typically reduces real estate, piping

Advanced Ceramic Technology is a recent term that
refers to a wide range of materials, which are
generally obtained from partition of inorganic raw
material –metal oxides-, and selected with a high
grade of purity. These materials are submitted to
shaping techniques of the powder metallurgy with a
following very high temperature sintering process
that leads to dense components, which high technical
performances offer a wide range of applications.
Thanks to their excellent properties, the Advanced
Ceramic Technology can be used in the making of
primary flow elements – with APLITEX as a pioneer.
At the present time, they are a key element in
processes that require:
• Extreme solidity.
• Stability at high temperatures.
• High resistance to corrosion.
• High resistance to chemical attacks.
• High resistance to vacuum.
• Long life.

Steam measurements
There are a number of measuring methods ("autarkon"-differential pressure measurement with all common differential pressure devices,
"trikon"-vortex meter) available for steam flow rate and steam energy measurements.
The right selection depends mainly on the technical and economic demands of the respective requirements. Only with this data knowledge is it possible to select the most suitable measuring system to achieve optimum alignment to existing operating conditions.
The product range includes meters for internal balancing measurements as well as high-precision steam calculation measurements with plausibility control during operation. Bi-directional steam measurements and combined steam-condensate-energy measurements are also contained in our product range.
Performance data: Measurement of saturated / superheated steam with pressure and temp. compensation
Pressure range: 1 - 100 bar (abs.)
Temperature range: 100 - 550 °C
Measuring range: up to 30 : 1 relating to the mass flow
