The DIN 41612/IEC 60603-2 connector line from ERNI includes standard connectors and customer-specific connector technology solutions. The standard and inverted connectors for printed circuits correspond to national and international standards. All connectors have the same installation requirements, regardless of differing application characteristics. This connector line includes modules with a high contact density for low voltages; and modules with a low contact density for high voltages. In addition to the standard types, ERNI offers a wide variety of versions and connection technologies that provide users with economical solutions.

The majority of components connected to a backplane are connected using solderless pressfit technology. Two-row power taps featuring either an elastic pressfit zone or soldering termination were developed by ERNI for connecting power supply lines. Cable plugs or terminal sockets can be optionally used for cable termination.
The power taps can either be connected via screw or plug-type terminals with cable lugs or flat terminal sockets. For versions featuring 6 pins, the max. current is 30A at 20°C ambient temperature. Versions featuring 10 pins can withstand 40A at 20°C.

The line of mPm DIN connectors is designed to reduce the number of components making them easier to assemble and with fewer parts to stock. They provide repeatable, unsurpassed IP67 sealing performance using an external nut over the cable. Traditional Form A and B connectors require three different styles for PG07, PG09 and PG11. However the external nut accepts a wider range of cables from 4mm to 9mm, reducing the number of parts from 3 to 1. The new generation of DIN connectors is available in our complete range of field attachable sizes including Form A, B and C.
