Disc springs are conically-shaped, washer-type components designed to be axially loaded. What makes disc springs unique is that based on the standardized calculations of DIN 2092, the deflection for a given load is predictable and the minimum life cycle can be determined. Disc springs can be statically loaded either continuously or intermittently, or dynamically subjected to continuous load cycling. They can be used singularly or in multiples stacked parallel, in series or in a combination thereof.
- A wide range of load/defl ection characteristics
- High load capacity with small defl ection
- Space savings - high load to size ratio
- No set under design loads
- Longer fatigue life
- Inherent dampening especially with parallel stacking
- Flexibility in stack arrangement to meet your application requirements
|
|
The characteristic benefits of original SCHNORR® disc springs include:
- Load deflection curves of straight, progressive or degressive character according to the selection of spring arrangement and dimension.
- Simple adjustment of the spring stack length by the addition or removal
of individual springs, thus altering the spring stack characteristic.
- Efficient use of space with high spring forces obtainable with small deflections.
- Largely self damping, particularly with parallel stacking.
- No setting or fatigue under normal loads load.
Long service life
- Flexibility in application of the disc springs can lead to a reduction in
stock levels.
By means of these characteristics, the original SCHNORR® disc spring has developed such a wealth of application areas that nowadays there is scarcely an engineering area where it is not used.

The VARIO LINE includes spring pressure single-disc brakes for direct current which can be matched to the individual application due to a wide range of variants. Electromagnetically operated spring pressure brakes build up the the braking torque when the current is switched off. By means of the electromagnetic force or an additionally mounted hand lifting device the braking effect can be neutralized. Fitting dimensions and the grading of the type series of the VARIO LINE are matched to IEC-motors.
Application
Working Machines, DC Motors, Industrial Trucks, Gear Motors, Instrument Manufacture, Handling Technology, Lifting and Conveying Technology, IEC Three-Phase AC Motors, Medical Engineering,...
Selected Technical Details
Nominal Moment: 1 - 400 Nm
Voltage: DC 24, 102, 178, 205 V
Protection Class: IP 55
