The accurate feeding of dry bulk material is often critical to maintaining product quality. A feeder that weighs accurately and reliably can reduce material waste, improve blend consistency and increase profits.
Ramsey Loss-In-Weight Continuous or Batch Feeding Systems from Thermo measure the mass flow rate and total mass of various bulk materials, such as powders, pellets, flakes and granules. We incorporate the standard, low capacity and sanitary versions of our volumetric feeders into a complete gravimetric feeding system, providing accuracies of ±0.25% to 1.00% and more reliable process control over typical volumetric feeding systems.
There are many advantages to utilizing loss-in-weight feeders. They can handle hot, floodable and difficult materials; are unaffected by dust and material accumulation; and are well suited for low feed rate applications. The entire feeding system is weighed, so there are no errors caused by belt tensioning or tracking. No transportation lag time exists, ensuring precision second-to-second accuracy. Feed accuracy can always be checked during normal operation without the need for sampling.
The Ramsey Micro-Tech 2104 Loss-In-Weight Feeder Controller is specifically designed for continuous or batch loss-in-weight or gain-in-weight applications. It's easy to operate and calibrate with the aid of large easy-to-read displays; straightforward, tactile-touch keyboards; and software that prompts you through proper set-up and operational procedures. A single Ramsey Micro-Tech 2104 is capable of operating two independent loss-in-weight systems, which ultimately contributes to cost savings. A UL-approved version is also available.

Mikros™ Dispensing Pen
The Mikros Dispensing Pen minimizes waste when making microdeposits of 2-part epoxies and other assembly fluids with short working lives.
The unique 0.25cc reservoir tips are smaller than standard dispensing components and reduce production costs by allowing fast-curing materials to be mixed in smaller batches and consumed before pot life expires. The tips are available in three different sizes to handle a range of fluids and dispensing applications.
When used with an EFD air-powered dispenser, the Mikros Pen will produce consistent fluid deposits as small as 0.007" in diameter.

The feeders with vibrating channel mod. V are particularly suitable to treat fragile materials or materials which can not be treated with mechanical devices which could compromise their integrity. They are suitable for granular materials, pellets or short fibres, but can also be utilised with fluid powders with a low humidity grade. The dosing device is made of a steel channel which is installed on a electromagnetic vibrator with glass fibres springs and its dimensions depends on the materials to dose and the feed rates to make.
The gravimetric version has the machine installed on a weighing plate with loading cell or directly on a couple of loading cells through a proper support framework. Many different weighing devices are at disposal to satisfy every needs both for the dosing in continuous and for the batch one.

Syntron® Volumetric Feeder Machines

The anti-bridging system carries out by itself the perfect filling function of the dosing screw, as well as the anti-bridging in the tank.
Some quickly dismantling solutions have been specially studied in order to aid the cleaning of the unit.
The materials have been selected according to the characteristics of the products to be dosed.
Operating principle:
Thanks to a cylindrical tank fitted out with aa anti-bridging device and a mechanical dosing system without air or vibration, you can dose all kind of powdery or granular products.
The flow can be set by varying the speed of the dosing system. The feeding of the dosing system is carried out by the anti-bridging device which at the same time anti-bridges the product in the hopper.

Milltronics weighfeeders from Siemens can improve the accuracy of processing, blend consistencies, accountability, and record keeping. All weighfeeders come standard with a belt weigh bridge and speed sensor. An integrator is required to complete the system.
The weighfeeder is used to deliver an accurate mass flow rate of material. In the majority of applications, material is profiled by an adjustable mechanical shear gate, which fixes the correct material bed depth for a given particle size.
The feed rate is then maintained and adjusted by varying the speed of the belt. However, in some cases the belt speed is constant with rate control (if any) done by a pre-feeding device.
The system consists of three components: weight and speed sensing, integration and control, and the mechanical conveying system.
Using the belt load and the belt speed signals, small incremental totals of weight per time are measured by the integrator and then the flow rate is calculated. The measured flowrate is compared against the desired flowrate and the on-board PID controller makes necessary corrections to the belt speed.

The DHVP has been designed for products that can be dosed neither by pumps (because they are not liquid enough) nor by standard dry products dosers (because they are too wet): matter blocks, cold fats, filter press cakes.
For your blocky products or in portions, this doser will guarantee a constant and accurate flow without having to break clods.
Operating principle
Three horizontal solid screws drive the fat into the pump and three vertical screws load these horizontal screws.
The latter feeds the fat into an eccentric helicoidal gear pump.
The fat, that has entered the system en bloc, flows out of the doser continuously, with an excellent dosing accuracy, since the pump is feeded constantly.

In the perfume and aroma industries there has been no satisfactory solution up until now for the accurate mixing of substances in powder form. When powders clot or form dust, this can lead to weighing errors, blocked valves etc. resulting in frequent production downtimes. And this is not even including the problematic conditions for safety at work due to the dust emissions.
With increasing frequency we were being asked by customers for powder dosing systems that would apply the dosing technology know-how for which our company is renowned, since FRICKE systems were mainly developed up until now for use with liquid substances.
Thus, the FRICKE PD1 powder dosing system was especially designed for use with the powders of the perfume and aroma industries. The system is equipped with a 4 kg scale (dissolution per 1 mg) and automates the production of 20 powder components.
The powders are stored in tightly sealed stainless steel containers with a 10 litre capacity. The containers can be equipped with different dosing elements and agitators according to the various powder characteristics. This allows a clot-free as well as dust-free processing of the powders - neither personnel nor machine systems are subjected to emissions.
