Mediajet – the automated Petri dish filler
Two applications – one system: MEDIAJET is a compact, automated Petri dish filler that requires only minimal bench space in the laboratory. It can easily be converted into a test tube filler.
Incorporating a new mechanical dish guidance system, monitored by a set of sensors throughout the filling process, the compact MEDIAJET is the first system to provide truly reliable, walk-away operation. Operational downtime and media loss due to 'dish jams' resulting from variations in the diameter, shape and rim profile of the disposable plastic Petri dishes are completely eliminated.
For every lab involved in culture media production, the TUBEFILLER option is the perfect expansion to the functionality of MEDIAJET, as it allows conversion into a test tube filler in just a minute. This unique solution from INTEGRA Biosciences is making MEDIAJET the most versatile system for media dispensing in the market. TUBEFILLER is the alternative to the tedious and time consuming work of manual tube filling. It is designed for the continuous processing of racks for test tubes of various diameters and therefore suitable for a wide range of dosing applications including the production of agar slants, broth cultures or NaCl dilutions.

The dispensing table-top robot TR300 designed and produced by mta automation ag is controlled by an industrial PC allowing the automation of dispensing operations for liquid or viscous products. The increasing demands of customers in term of quality, precision and repeatability lead to increasing levels of automation. However, when production batches are small or products widely dissimilar, the cost of sophisticated equipment can place automation beyond the reach of many would-be users. In order to satisfy this need, mta developed a table-top robot which combines flexibility with required high levels of process quality and repeatability, all at a reasonable cost.
The 3 or 4 axes can be fully programmed, as are the dispensing parameters for each dispensed point.

Pistol-Grip Attachment allows paste to be applied manually to copper and brass assembly
Compressed air from control panel is introduced to upper gun body, forcing circular piston and attached piston rod upward against coil spring. Pressurized paste alloy (from reservoir) fills vacant space between piston rod tip and nozzle orifice.
As timer de-energizes, compressed air is exhausted, and coil spring returns piston and rod to closed position. Piston rod tip displaces paste alloy through nozzle orifice and seals opening until next cycle. Precise deposit size is obtained by adjusting control panel timer, paste pressure, and length of piston rod stroke.

iVD - Pasty
Dispensing head for highly viscous media
The dispensing head is the essential part of every dispensing machine. It distinguishes itself by its highly precise, digitally controlled gear wheel pump, which is controlled by the DATRON iServo motor. A DATRON dispensing head is well suited for dispensing all conventional 1C materials, such as silicones and MS polymers in the viscosity range of 100,000 - 1,000,000 mPas. With the special pump design, filled abrasive media can also be optimally dispensed, up to a grit size of 50 µm. The digitally controlled iServo motor is able to position the gear wheel pump to a precision of 1 / 40 000 turn. This allows the smallest amounts to be dispensed in a process-sure way. Non-linear flow properties of the material can be compensated with the software.
