With our new Laser-Distance Sensors DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters. Thanks to state of the art laser technology the DLS-B device measures with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. It represents a cost efficient solution even at extreme environment temperatures as low as -40° C.
The DLS-B is an optical measuring device. You can measure, maintenance-free, distances on natural and reflective surfaces. You determine positions on objects difficult to access or with very high surface temperatures. Just as well you can measure distances in an aggressive environment in an easy and accurate way.
Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features for the complete DLS-B product line. This enables you to easily connect the DLS-B to a control system (SPS, IPC or PC)
The DLS-B device runs in a “Stand-alone-mode” and independently executes all programmed functions. Thanks to the flexible range of functions an external display can be connected directly to the DLS-B device via interface RS232 or RS422. Via a digital input, measurements can also be activated from an external button or switch.
For easy configuration of the DLS-B devices, the necessary software is at your disposal.

Ultrasonic sensors present the ideal solution for non-contact position and distance measurement in all industrial areas where environmental conditions such as dust, smoke or steam may effect the sensors. Objects consisting of a variety of materials can be detected regardless of colour or shape to within millimetres.
The sensor uses very high frequencies that are outside of the human’s audible range, as a data carrier. The time it takes the ultrasonic wave to pass between the sensor and the object is the value for the distance or the position. Ultrasonic sensors have proven their reliability and precision especially in the wood and furniture industry, the construction materials industry, farming equipment, construction equipment and in level control applications.
Pepperl+Fuchs’ ultrasonic sensors currently encompass 8 series of mechanical designs for through-beam, direct detection and reflex operation with more than 40 designs and models. Customer and application specific custom solutions underscore our technological competence in this area of sensors.

Measuring sensors
Measuring optosensory technology offers an unusual performance spectrum. Depending on the field of application, modern optosensors make use of different measurement principles such as triangulation, phase shift or pulse propagation time to measure distances. Measurement takes place either directly to an object or to a reflector. Leuze electronic also offers positioning systems which determine positions using a barcode tape.

HL-C1 sensors
The laser displacement sensor HL-C1 has reached the highest level in its class. Even when sensing difficult objects such as black rubber or very shiny objects, the sensor has no problems maintaining stable and consistent results. Through the fusion of our unique newly developed optical system, linear image sensor methodology and high-speed sampling technology, a wide variety of objects can now be stably measured with great precision at ultra high speeds. This new sensor is developed for use in almost all fields of industry like tyre manufacturing or semiconductor production (wafers, printed circuit boards).
HL-C1 controller
The compact and multifunctional controller unit HL-C1CM again shows how powerful this new sensor series is. A flexible combination of controller and sensor heads allows cost-effective service and maintenance. Even in production changeovers, i.e. when the distance to be measured changes, only the head has to be exchanged. Another industry first is a compact touch panel that allows you to conveniently make settings and display data. Up to two sensor heads can communicate with one controller. Together with the touch panel, results can be calculated, e.g. for thickness or difference measurement. Moreover, all adjustments and results can be transmitted via RS232 to a normal PC.

Sensors are elementary components of automation. Increasingly precise and wear-free sensors with more and more reliable measurements enable a continuous improvement of the production process. Here, no-touch sensors working with an almost unlimited lifetime are playing a major role. In distance measuring, different measuring methods depending on the measuring range have established themselves. For the medium range between a few centimetres and several metres optical and ultrasonic systems are mainly used. Ultrasonic distance sensors are used in harsh, industrial environments, because they are independent of the material and the colour of the object to be measured, they cannot be disturbed by light, dust and fog, and they work very precisely and linearly with background suppression.
ELTROTEC Sensor GmbH ultrasonics has more than 20 years of experience in addition to the higher-end laser distance sensors with more accuracy, speed and precision. Trust our products for your application in:

Likewise, industrial processes require reliable information. SICK's ultrasonic sensors detect objects and measure distances with high accuracy
Further advantages:
- the outstanding background suppression and the reliable detection of objects
- almost independently of their appearance.
the application determines the output - binary or analogue - according to your wish.

The capacitive sensors with extreme long sensing distance are based on the three-electrode measuring-principle. this measuring principle allows much larger sensing distances compared to the two-electrode principle of common capacitive sensors, up to 10-times the norm. Although one achieves essentially larger switching distances with these capacitive systems, the size of the sensors is small.
KXS-Systems are used for applications where the sensing distances of standard sensors are not sufficient.
A further feature is the Duplex-or Triplex-operation. With the corresponding evaluation unit it is possible to adjust 1, 2 or 3 switching points with only one sensor.
