Type 14 valve terminals for VDMA valves are of modular design and can be equipped with 2 to 16 valves in accordance with VDMA 24563 / ISO 15407-1. Fewer valves may also be installed, in which case vacant positions are sealed with blanking plates.
The valves include individual connection with an M8 central connector or standard pattern.
The valve terminals include common supply ports and exhausts for all valves. The bus lines can be connected to the end plates, or via adapter plates. Combining of sizes 02 and 01 is possible. The valve terminals are configured, assembled and tested for correct functioning in accordance with customer requirements. This results in minimal installation time.
Variants
- Size 01: 26 mm valve width, flow rate of 1000 l/min.
- Size 02: 18 mm valve width, flow rate of 500 l/min.
- Equipped with 2 to 16 valves
- Individual connection
- Standard voltage: 24 V DC
- Other voltages are possible (12 V DC, 24 V AC, 110 V AC and 230 V AC)

Why a new distribution mode?
Because it meets all your requirements in terms of installation costs, communication, performance (high capacities) and ease of implementation.
Very attractive installation costs
When several islands coexist, were you aware that the cost of installing them is closely related to the machine's wiring architecture?
This a very important point: thanks to a substantial reduction in the number of components such as terminal boards, distribution units, cables, raceways and wiring, both the implementation and the maintenance of the installation as a whole become highly cost-effective.
The 2000 series islands consist of a subbase, which includes the electrical and pneumatic valves into which the distributors are plugged ("Plug in" technology).
Efficient, advanced and highly flexible architecture
It is very easy to optimise the fieldbus: a single connection on the master island is sufficient for the control engineer to establish:
- Communication from the fieldbus of his choice: PROFIBUS-DP, INTERBUS-S, AS-Interface, DeviceNet, Modbus-IDA, WorldFIP, ControlNet, AB 1771 RIO, not forgetting EtherNet/IP
- A single address for up to 7 islands, which can have different flow rates, thereby taking advantage of optimized PLC memory and network cycle time.
- A capacity of 224 monostable or 112 bistable or dual valves
- In total: 96 inputs (sensors, pushbuttons etc), 224 digital outputs, be they digital (including coils) and/or analog, connected via M12, Sub-D or terminal boards

Description
Corning Cable Systems distribution blocks of Series 5000 (8- and 10-pair functional elements are fitted with double IDC contacts and with and without option for protection) are used for both voice and data networks in the central office, cabinets and in private networks applications.

Direct and pilot operated. DIRECT have the solenoid armature directly connected to the valve spool or poppet. PILOT use small integral direct solenoid valves to switch pilot air pressure to operate the main valve element.
