General description:
NTI's RazorHead Scan Heads offer higher performance in a ruggedpackage. The scan head is designed to ease design-in and manufacturing issues by reducing the need for specialized tooling and highly skilled assemblers.
Packaged in a class IV enclosure, RazorHeads can operate in harsh industrial environments. They arrive to you optically aligned, electrically match tuned and ready to bolt up, plug in and operate with most laser systems.
The RazorHead can be configured for different scan angles and wavelengths. They are available with digital or analog electrical interface options.
Advanced laser / scanner PC based control electronics and software are available to support the full range of your integration requirements.
Throughout the assembly process, all NTI scan heads are run through a battery of tests and must pass an extensive over night burn-in. Each head makes witness marks before leaving NTI. Component information and performance data in is stored in a device history record.
RazorHeads feature NTI's reliable and most accurate RS-15 galvanometers with exclusive SLR stator technology for superior performance. RazorHeads also feature high quality ceramic ball bearings for long life operation.

Beam Benders are the basic building blocks of a conventional beam delivery system. A mirror located inside a holder is employed to turn the beam at a 90° angle (other angles are also possible). Depending on the particular mirror, beam benders are compatible with CO2, Nd:YAG and Fiber lasers.
The mirror holder can also feature water-cooling provisions for use with higher power lasers. Laser Mechanisms provides two basic styles of Beam Benders - a knuckle style for use with the small aperture series and articulated arms, and a block style for the large aperture series. Beam Benders also provide adjustment capability to properly align and steer the laser beam. Interlocked versions are available as a safety feature for when the mirror cap is removed.

OFS offers a suite of optical fibers, cables, and custom connectorized probes for delivering high laser powers for medical and industrial uses. We offer reusable fibers for aesthetic laser treatments and disposable fibers for urology. Industry uses our fibers in their lasers for cutting, welding, and etching.
Our HCXtreme™ Optical Fiber product line for high power under tight bends offers fibers in a selection of core sizes and numerical apertures, addressing the need to transmit high laser powers at the same time the fiber is subject to extreme bending conditions. Additionally, because many of these fibers are intended for intra-body use, they are biocompatible, non-toxic, and sterilizable.
Other large core HCS® optical fibers are available for specific applications. OH content, numerical aperture, core size, cladding and buffering materials can all be adjusted to meet specific needs.

Beamsplitters are designed to separate a single beam of light into two beams that are normal to one another. The intensity of the separated beams depends upon the type of coating and the specific properties of the light.
Most beamsplitters use dielectric coatings that are wavelength and polarization sensitive; therefore it is highly recommended that one look carefully at the transmission curves to ensure that the beamsplitter will perform as needed.
Cube beamsplitters with hybrid (dielectric/metal) coatings are relatively insensitive to changes over a broad range of polarization and wavelength, and our laser-line coatings are polarization insensitive at their design wavelength.
