It is globally recognised that condensate from oil-injected compressors is an oil-water emulsion, classified as oil residue and must not be drained into the sewage system nor into the environment. Legislation, worldwide, has become more and more stringent as to the disposal of this oily waste water.
With the introduction of the OSM 500 and 900 oil-water separators, with the latest filter membrane technology, Atlas Copco offers a most cost effective, safe, environmentally friendly and simple system to handle condensate from oil-injected compressors, fully in compliance with governmental regulations.

The range of EWD electronically controlled condensate drains is synonymous with safe, dependable and economical condensate management.
The intelligent drain function monitors condensate build-up with liquid level sensors and evacuates the condensate only when necessary, thus avoiding wastage of compressed air and giving considerable energy savings.
The EWD drain device offers security and confidence, enabling you to solve all condensate discharge problems even with heavily contaminated systems.
A wide range of different EWD drains is available for oil contaminated condensate and may also be provided with additional hard coating for use with oil-free and aggressive condensate.

Condensate Drains
Remove condensed oil and water from your compressed air system with condensate drain valves from Pneumatic Products. Durability and reliability are offered with a complete line of fully automatic types including: float, timer actuated, no-air-loss and motorized ball valves. Drain valves should be installed at each liquid collection point of a compressed air system including the receiver, aftercooler, coalescing filters and wherever drip-legs are installed. The installation of drain valves will ensure a compressed air system free from the damaging effects of liquid and sludge.

Kaeser's Eco-Drain Series of electronic condensate drain traps efficiently eliminate moisture from the compressed air system. They are ideally suited for equipment such as dryers and filters. The capacitance sensor technology ensures that only condensate is released - not valuable compressed air.
Important features and advantages:
Reliable condensate removal in a variety of industrial and commercial environments
Wear-free, capacitance level sensor
Electronically controlled diaphragm valve releases condensate not compressed air
Patented valve technology protects internal components from contamination even in harsh environments
Simple installation and maintenance

Mechanical Demand Operated
Drain Valves
Reliable and economical, mechanical demand operated drain valves do not waste any valuable compressed air. They detect the presence of liquid and only operate when filled to a pre-determined level. Upon actuation, they discharge only liquid and close before any compressed air can be exhausted. Fully automatic, mechanical demand operated drains do not require electricity to operate.

Compressed air is a dependable, flexible and safe energy source. however, the air must be treated before use to ensure that the pneumatic tools last well and works reliably.
An extensive range of filters, regulators, lubricators, pressure gauges, micro-filters, drains, separators and dryers provide solutions for all issues associated with polluants in air pipes.

Autoclave Drain/Air Filter (SD050) or Freezer (SD051) Sensor :
The SD050 series drain/air detector and freezer sensor is not presented with the same demanding conditions that are experienced by the chamber/load probe.
However the critical measurement that they transmit to the control system requires no less an integrity than that for the chamber or load probe. To maintain this integrity the same manufacturing programme as that used for the chamber and load probes is performed.
The SD050 sensors are used extensively in autoclaves manufactured by most of the major manufacturers either as original equipment or as replacement parts.
At the other end of the temperature spectrum the SD051 is designed for use in pharmaceutical freezers, refrigerators and incubators.

Lake’s Case Drain Monitor is an affordable option to using a standard flow meter for case drain applications. It offers a flow measuring accuracy of ±5% of range that can help confirm pump performance, identify required maintenance and reduce costly MRO down-time associated with unpredictable pump failure.
Designed for convenient vertical, horizontal and inverted installation, the monitor has a sealed window tube that makes it ideal for outdoor/exposed applications and where wash-downs may be required. And Lake backs its Case Drain Monitor with a One-Year Warranty!
