The UniCen is a turning and milling center with integrated B-axis where all requirements for complete machining have already been implemented: turning, milling, drilling and thread-cutting all on one machine. The workpiece is loaded on one machine only and can then be finished completely. With up to five interpolating axes even complex free form faces can be machined.

The Unicom 6000 machining centre is ideally suited for vertical turning and multi-sided machining of complex components. This highly flexible and powerful machining centre for complete machining results from the continuous development of vertical machining centres over a period of more than 25 years.
The concept of Unicom 6000 is based on a moving table with integrated carousel turning station and an interface that can receive pallets of up to 2.500 mm in diameter. The table movement is designated as Y-axis and it runs underneath a traverse with cross slide and spindle carrier. The movements of cross slide and spindle carrier are designated as X-and Z-axis respectively.
Unicom 6000:
4-Axes complete machining centre with HSK100-A interface, carousel turning station and pallet changer. The machine can be equipped with a right angular head or a universal head, in combination with C-axis mode in the carousel turning station.
Unicom 6000-HV:
5-Axes complete machining centre with carousel turning station, pallet changer and HSK 63-A interface in the integrated Unisign Nutator NC machining head as 5th axis, in combination with C-axis mode in the carousel turning station. This configuration is capable of 5-axes machining of complex components.

The Leonard machines are a complete and modular range of Horizontal Lathes for the machining on medium to large work pieces with highest performances in terms of rigidity for rough operations and precision for finishing operations. The main feature of these machines is the technology of the preloaded Hydrostatic ways which are successfully used for both cross and longitudinal slides.
Other machining operations can be performed with the Leonard system, like Boring, Milling or Drilling operations. The different working units can be Combined on a column with rotating base ("B" Axis) or on different Pallets to be manually or automatically installed in the carriage.
The Leonard lathe can be supplied with different type of Steady rests according to the work piece and the required machining.On demand different accessories are available like the work piece probe, the tool probe and the Automatic tool changer.
Safop has developed some special system for the measuring of high sophisticated work pieces like the turbine rotors. The Run Out Measurement System and Blade Measurement System are used with success by the main producers of this type of work pieces.

The program comprises four sizes, CXS-04, -05, -06 and -07, each including inserts for a range of hole diameters, and available in different lengths to suit different applications.
These inserts fit into boring bars designed with internal cutting fluid supply, directed at the cutting edge via two nozzles to ensure chip evacuation and sufficient cooling. Boring bars range from 10 to 25.4 mm diameter.
The inserts locate precisely into the boring bars thanks to a locating pin, which guarantees correct positioning of the cutting edge, every time.

CC6065 and CC6060
New round inserts offer the perfect team for success in medium to roughing operations used mainly for the aerospace industry. Round inserts in grades CC6060 and CC6065 increase the available HRSA cutting tool assortment from Sandvik Coromant, while also bringing the advantages of ceramic grades which are able to run at 4-6 times the speed of conventional carbide inserts. CC6065 is the ideal solution for high temperature alloy machining on good quality forgings with some ovality. Improved machining results through increases in feed rate can be achieved with a stronger insert and edge line to elevate component quality. CC6060 is optimized for productivity benefits when it comes to larger diameter components and longer lengths of cut. With its excellent notch wear resistance, this grade also provides the confidence to machine at higher depths of cut than other ceramic grades currently available and is able to cope with higher feed rates

FeatureTURN
FeatureTURN includes the following features for part creation.
- Holes - You can create a variety of hole types aligned with the part's Z-axis. Simply enter hole dimensions to create any common hole type including counter-sink, counter-bore, reamed or tapped.
- Facing Feature - To face off the part, you simply enter the cut thickness and two diameter values.
- OD Turning Feature - You can create outer turning features from any two-dimensional geometry or curves. Round tool roughing is supported and you have precise control of entry and exit.
- ID Boring Feature - Bores are created from simple two-dimensional geometry or curves.
- Groove Feature - OD, ID and face grooves are created from curves or by entering dimensions that describe the groove's shape.
- Thread Feature - Both OD and ID threading features can easily be created from dimensional data. Tapered threads are supported and relief grooves can be conveniently generated within the thread feature. 2006 You can also thread along a form shape.
- Cutoff Feature - Cutoff feature includes optional chamfer and part catcher control.
- Bar feed feature - FeatureTURN provides support for both bar feeders and bar pullers..
- Sub-spindle Feature - FeatureTURN supports machines with sub-spindles.
FeatureTURN/MILL
FeatureTURN/MILL is an extension of FeatureTURN and incorporates both FeatureTURN and FeatureMILL2.5D With FeatureTURN/MILL, turning features and milling features can be conveniently ordered together in a single setup.
FeatureTURN/MILL provides several capabilities, including:
- Support for lathes with C and Y axis milling capabilities and sub-spindles.
- Drilling or milling features can be positioned on the face or on the OD of the part, and are easily programmed with the FeatureTURN/MILL feature wizard.
- FeatureTURN/MILL contains all the milling features of FeatureMILL2.5D, including holes, slots, pockets, grooves, sides and patterns.
- Milling features can be created on the OD and then wrapped around the lathe's Z-axis. This process takes the Y moves of a milling feature and translates them into C-axis rotations.
- Simulations accurately reflect the rotation of the part during machining so that you can verify precise toolpaths on your computer.
- Polar interpolation can be performed by FeatureTURN/MILL or by the control.
- FeatureTURN/MILL includes the same post processing capabilities as FeatureMILL2.5D and FeatureTURN. You simply create your features and let FeatureTURN/MILL take care of the NC code details.

PartMaker applies a Patented "divide and conquer" programming strategy to simplify the programming of Multi-Axis Turn-Mill Centers with live-tooling. The software helps the operator break a complicated part surface into a set of planes or faces. Machining tasks, such as turning, plane milling and cylinder milling are carried out separately for each face in an intuitive manner.
Visual programming assures quicker learning and easier use. PartMaker supports most Turn-Mill centers currently available including models from manufacturers such as Hardinge, Mazak, Mori-Seiki, Eurotech, Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura, Miyano, Okuma and others.
PartMaker/Turn-Mill performs a full set of lathe operations: facing, turning, grooving and threading. Operations being performed simultaneously by seperate turrets or on separate spindles can easily be synchronized by just pointing clicking. PartMaker generates edit-free G-code programs with "Wait" or "Sync" codes automatically inserted.
