ECOGEHR PLA-L
Blend of polylactic acid, some lignin, fatty acid and wax. Good mechanical properties similar to ABS.
High stiffness and a modulus of elasticity up to 2770 MPa. Good impact strength, also at low temperatures to -30°C. Good chemical resistance against polar substances. Physiologically indifferent. Good thermal insulation.
This biopolymer is new to our industry and can be used in temperatures
ranging from -22 °F to +140 °F.
General properties:
- neutral in the CO2 balance
- PLA-L is biodegradable
- waste disposal e.g. by composting respectively incineration
- good mechanical properties similar to ABS
- higher stiffness and a modulus of elasticity up to 2740 MPa
- good impact strength also at low temperatures up to -22 °C
- high resistance to polar solvents

GEHR PEEK
Polyetheretherketone can be used at very high temperatures (+480 °F) and it shows an extraordinary mechanical strength, toughness, hardness, flexural strength, torsional strength. PEEK exhibits excellent chemical resistance, very good dielectric properties up to +480 °F and a very good resistance to all kinds of radiation.
Importantly it is self-extinguishing according to UL 94.

brilliant surface. The QUINN PC range contains sheets that are
easy to fabricate and show exceptional performance at both
low and high temperatures (range from -40°C to +135°C).
Important benefits of QUINN PC sheets are their excellent
mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.
They are virtually unbreakable in normal use.

CHARACTERISTICS
QUINN PS sheets have good optical properties and a brilliant
surface. The QUINN PS range contains sheets that are easy to
fabricate, to vacuum form, and show a high light transmission
(min 88% wavelength: 500 nm, thickness 3 mm).
Important benefits of QUINN PS sheets are their low price, low
density (1.05), good chemical resistance and high rigidity. As a
standard QUINN PS sheets are UV-stabilised and remain colour
constant for many years when used indoors.
On special request QUINN PS sheets can be produced without
UV-stabilisation. They then meet all current food contact
legislation and can be used in contact with foodstuffs.

CHARACTERISTICS:
QUINN SAN sheets are characterised by good optical properties
and a brilliant surface.
The QUINN SAN range contains sheets that are easy to handle,
to vacuum form and that show a very good dimensional stability.
Typical for QUINN SAN sheets is their very good chemical
resistance: they are resistant to most fats, dilute acid solutions,
oils and common bleaching agents, as well as some solvents and
weak alkaline solutions.
The sheets can be used in- and outdoor (in UVP-version) and
are resistant to temperature fluctuations.
QUINN SAN products can be used in contact with foodstuffs.

GEHR ECTFE (Halar®)
Ethylen-Chlortrifluorethylene exhibits an extraordinary impact strength at temperatures ranging from -104 °F to +302 °F. A great part of the product properties attributes to the very smooth surface and differentiates HALAR® from other fluoropolymers. Due to the fact that E-CTFE is very pure, this material is being used to process chemicals and ultrapure water for the semiconductor industry.
Also the permeation resistance to oxygen, carbon dioxide, chlorine gas and hydrochlorid acid is 10 to 100 times better than PTFE.
Characteristics:
- extremely high impact strength (up to -105 °F) no break on notched or than PTFE unnotched IZOD impact test
- much more dimensional stability
- very good sliding properties
- good insulation properties
- food safe
- very good weather resistance

GEHR PPS
The linear Polyphenylensulfide belongs to the semi-crystalline materials and offers a very high mechanical capacity, thermal- and chemical resistance distinguished at the same time (usual operating temperature up to approx. +300 °F), high dimensional stability and creep strength.
The LOI belongs to the highest of the Polymers. By the reinforcement with
glass fibres strength is achieved, which is comparable with light metal. PPS
closes the gap between the technical synthetics and PEEK with its strength
and economy.

- high dimensional stability
- very high chemical resistance
- very good insulating properties
- high weather resistance
- high resistance to hydrolysis (only PPS virgin)
Applications:

GEHR PPS-40GF
The 40% glass fibre reinforced PPS has an improved dimensional stability
and higher stiffness which can be compared with light metal applications.
Usual operating temperature up to approx. +460 °C.

- high thermal resistance
- great dimensional stability
- higher surface stiffness

PP
Polypropylene shows a high mechanical strength and a tensile strength, but a low notched impact strength. PP resists stress cracking and it is easy to weld. At minus temperatures it can get brittle. The chemical and electrical properties are very good. The continous operating temperatures ranges between +5 °C and +100 °C.

• high tensile strength, high surface strength

• low oxidation resistance
• low abrasion resistance
• brittle in the coldness
• HF-welding not possible
• natural color is not weather resistant
Applications:
Pumps, valves, gaskets, supporting stands for the coating industry, spacer for the plating, particles for toys.
PP-ELS* (electrically conductive) PP-H with improved electronical conductivity.
Volume resistivity ≤ 106 Ω,
Surface resistivity ≤ 106 Ω.
A higher stability in contrast to the standard PP.
PP-30GF
The 30% glass fibre reinforced PP has an improved dimensional stability, very high stiffness and heat resistance HDT/B +155
