DSL 56 - Linear Actuator
With its two variants the DSL 56 ensures optimal linear motions. As a roller screw assembly for high forces and high velocities or as a ball screw assembly in simple applications for low-cost linear drives.
Compactness, dynamic response and high levels of torque, effectively implemented in a linear motion – these are the features of the DSL 56.
With its integrated screw assembly the DSL 56 converts rotary motion to linear motion. The link between Baumüller servo motors and an integrated screw assembly is ideally suited for applications with maximum demands in terms of force and dynamic response, in a compact design.
There are two models available: the roller screw assembly for high forces and high velocities or the lower-cost ball screw assembly for simpler applications.Consequently, the DSL 56 optimally meets the requirements of fields of application such as robotics, welding tongs and handling but also in the printing and plastics industries.

Recent sales of Zwick’s electro-mechanical testing actuator have provided unique solutions for customers carrying out diverse mechanical testing. For example, in the automotive industry it has been used to test seat head rests, foams, steering columns, gearshifts, brake pedal assemblies, switches, connectors, and solenoids. In the medical industry components such as needles and bone have been successfully evaluated, whilst for sporting equipment the system has carried out tests on skis, and snowboards.
This wide variety of tests is possible due to a truly impressive specification, and a reliable testing system based on many core components from the Zwick Roell Group product portfolio. The EM Actuator is the obvious solution for many different and complex testing applications.
The electro-mechanical testing actuator is quite unique as it can be directly assembled, at any angle, into a production line and controlled via dedicated I/O control systems, or it can be used in stand-alone mode with a dedicated test stand. In addition it can be fitted to any standard Zwick universal test frame thereby adding an additional test axis for tests which require side loads All standard Zwick attachments can easily be attached.

The Feed Modules from Rexroth are suitable for using in handling applications as vertical axes or actuators. The complete linear units reduce the necessary drive power due to the smaller dead weight being moved and can achieve extremely precise, infinitely variable positions.
The modules consist of a fixed aluminum main body, a profiled aluminum tube with eLINE Hybrid Technology and runner blocks and spindles of different pitches and sizes.
The spindle moves a profiled aluminum tube, the spindle sleeve into which two steel tracks are admitted. Two fixed runner blocks in the main body guide the spindle sleeve accurately and cushion high longitudinal and transverse torques. The quadratic main bodies with cross-sections of 50mm, 70 mm and 100 mm, rastered, cover strokes of up to 400 mm.
Another special feature is the quick and easy assembly using the easy-2-combine interface. This positive connection technology with centering rings saves laborious alignment. In addition, unlike in many conventional solutions, you are also spared specially manufactured adapters.
You can order the feed modules either with a flange or belt auxiliary transmission for mounting on motors, or ready assembled as complete axes. There is a wide range of servomotors or stepping motors with an absolute encoder or standard encode and an optional brake. Positioning the motor on the fixed main body makes the electrical connection easier for you.

The ELIMINATOR HDL™ replaces hydraulic and pneumatic linear actuators with an electromechanical linear actuator with an Optional Load Cell. This combines force measurement with heavy duty and precise linear motion. It provides a clean, simple, rugged, and economical capability to directly and continuously monitor axial force while simultaneously applying that force.
This ball screw actuator can measure force in both tensile and compressive modes. The heavy wall steel construction and high dynamic capacity components ensure longevity and durability for production processes. Bearing press, component insertion, and product testing, are typical applications where this would be useful. As an integral package, the ELIMINATOR HD™ with load cell is less expensive and much easier to align than traditional ball screw component systems. As a sealed assembly, it is far less susceptible to contamination and physical damage.
