Flexible and tough jacket. Offers -50°C to 105°C temperature extremes. Seoprene offers excellent abrasion, ozone, sunlight, chemical and oil resistance as well as water and mold resistant non-wicking lightweight polypropylene fillers. Water resistant with high dielectric insulation. Lightweight, long lasting, easy to carry and easy to handle. All components are recyclable and non-hazardous for environmental landfill disposal. Color coded conductors for easy identification.

Specifically designed for use in EMC-protected areas. EMC means Electro-Magnetic Compatibility. The optimal screening effect is achieved when these PURWIL® EMC cables (which include a special sheath) are used together with our EMC screwed joints.

Inter-8® Weave Cable has applications to many interference problems. Current-carrying conductors generating interference fields can be replaced with INTER-8 WEAVE cable to substantially reduce radiation. In low impedance circuits where external interference results in disturbing signals, Inter-8® Weave Cable will reduce the circuit sensitivity to the external fields. Among typical applications are cable connections to strain gages, thermocouples, photoelectric detectors, audio coils and transformers, piezoelectric transducers and preamplifiers.
SPIRA-SHIELD is flexible conduit that provides high permeability magnetic shielding for sensitive cables and conductors. Constructed of .010" thick CO-NETIC AA Alloy, SPIRA-SHIELD provides greater attenuation than braided sleeving and also furnishes physical protection. Among typical applications are ground support and communication equipment, shipboard control systems, audio-level interconnections, sensitive instrumentation and aerospace apparatus.
Co-Netic® Braided Sleeving, constructed of 36 or 34 AWG CO-NETIC AA high permeability wire, provides superior flexibility compared to foil that is spiral or channel wrapped around cable.
CO-NETIC AA wire in .005" diameter is widely used in magnetic shielding braid applied over cables. All gauges have applications where high permeability, low coercive force and ferromagnetic properties are required. CO-NETIC AA wire is corrosion resistant and has an affinity for solder. Meets MIL-N-14411, Composition I.

More and more OEM manufacturers are finding difficulties sourcing certain components for custom applications due to the lack of producers who are willing to make small runs at a reasonable price.
With Engelking's cord set offering, it is now possible to source small to medium runs of cord sets in a wide variety of international connector combinations and cable types with the relevant approvals. There is a wide range of different construction of low voltage power cables. Neverthless, it is possible to identify 3 constituent parts:
* Conductors ensuring electric power transmission,
* Insulation ensuring the perfect degree of electrical safety, for the specified rated voltage,
* Sheaths for cable external protection, which characteristics essentially regard the application and installation conditions.
The most common materials used on conductors is copper and aluminium because of their high conductivity level and easy handling.
In what concerns the insulation materials, the most used are the compounds of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and cross linked polyethylene (XLPE). PVC has gradually been replaced by XLPE since the polyethylene has better electrical characteristics and endure higher temperatures.
With regard to cables protection, sheaths are usually made of polymeric materials and, when a higher mechanical protection is required, wire armours or metallic tapes are applied.
The growing need of people and building safety requires the usage in many installations of low voltage cables with improved fire behaviour. The sheaths and insulations of these fire proof cables are made of compounds with low halogen degree and, when submitted to fire, they exhibit low smoke emission, low opacity and low corrosivity emission.
In some special applications, namely in signalling and control circuits, it is important to reduce the electromagnetic interferences so, cables have a metallic screen, generally made of copper or aluminium wires or tapes
