The Ex plug-and-socket connector "mini CLIX" from R. STAHL is especially uncomplicated and can be used in a multitude of applications. It's possible to carry installation and maintenance tasks in Zones 1 & 2, 21 & 22 without first obtaining "hot works" permissions. Series VarioPro and VarioPro-plus are both based on an entirely variable assembly concept of fully compatible elements. All versions of this high voltage connector share the same POM or PTFE insulation case design enabling combinations of up to 3 pins per connection. Series-MC (compact) is our advanced multi-pin high voltage connector. Substantially smaller and with less weight this series is appropriate for operating voltages up to 7 kV DC. With a maximum power input of 13 A Series-MC can be equipped with 5 contacts. Contacts can be crimped or soldered and are appropriate for diverse cable diameters. The cable socket can be angled and equipped with an EMC-gland bushings for cable seal and shield connection. Both sides (housing-side / cable-side) can be assigned as plug or socket. These multipin HV-connectors in a firm screwing armature are made for operating voltages up to 15 kV DC and can be equipped with up to 9 contacts. Both sides (housing-side / cable-side) can be assigned as plug or socket - the cable-side can be angled. The cable socket is made for PG gland bushings. Also these connectors can be equipped in different pin configurations i.e. with leading contact pins to force a certain “switch on” sequence, use them for earth connections or for realisation of safty loops. These connectors are commonly used in UV, ultrasonic or measuring/testing systems.

A full range of quality mains rated inlets, outlets and connectors conforming to IEC and EN 60320 specifications carrying UL, CSA, VDE and other approvals. The new 1000V a.c. / 1500V d.c. single pole, 6800A ‘e’ increased safety SPeX connector enables the user to connect and disconnect heavy duty equipment simply and safely.
Designed for use in hazardous areas the SPeX is ATEX 94/9/CE approved for zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust). It offers automatic IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating as soon as the plug is inserted into the socket. Electromechanical interlocking is provided via a microswitch (which opens and closes all phases simultaneously) to protect the user and to prevent electrical destabilisation of equipment.
The casing is manufactured in glassfibre-reinforced polyester which affords excellent mechanical protection (IK08) and resistance to UV and chemical agents.
Typical applications include mobile gensets, ship-to-shore supplies, mines, offshore platforms etc.
The incorrect mating of phases is mechanically impossible. Furthermore colour-coding enables a visual check.

This series of water-resistant connectors can be successfully applied in applications where moisture, high humidity, water and dust are present. With its integral switching capability, it combines safety, simplicity and reliability. The DS is automatically IP54/54 watretight as soon as the plug is connected without turning any sealing ring, with a load breaking capacity AC22/23.
