FHA-C mini Series Servo Actuators, combining precision Harmonic Drive gearing with AC servo motors, offer unique features unsurpassed by conventionally geared drives. Used in highly demanding industrial servo systems they provide precision motion control and high torque capacity in a very compact package.
Sine-commutated AC servo motors provide smooth torque without the brush wear or commutation limit associates with DC servo actuators. Encoder, mounted directly onto the motor shaft, provide position feedback information. The backlash-free Harmonic Drive gear is provided with grease lubrication specially developed to ensure minimum maintenance requirements and long service life.
The fully digital SC-610 Series Controllers are available for the control of these Servo Actuators. A menu driven setup software running under MS-Windows allows a comfortable parameter optimisation and system diagnosis.

They have very low torque ripple, at 0.3 % of rated torque. All models are oil sealed and have brake and tachometer (110W and larger) options.

The IB brushless servomotors provide a very responsive acceleration in a rugged, durable design with high energy Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnetics. This series provides continuous stall torque capability ranging from 3.9 Lb-In (0.45 N-m) to 117 Lb-In (13.3 N-m). Peak torque capability is nominally 4 times continuous. This series has the lowest inertia to provide the maximum torque per package size.

All of Teknic's motors are brushless AC servo motors with integrated encoders. Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnetic material is used to attain high power density while maintaining a low cost per watt. These high power density motors help increase throughput even when available space for the motor is constrained. The magnetic design of the motors includes skewed stators and/or rotors for minimum cogging torque and low torque ripple.
Since the motors are brushless, the only parts in mechanical contact are the shaft bearings. The bearings are oversized, single row, deep groove radial bearings with non-contact lubrication seals. The large ball bearings have diameter variations of less than 15 millionths of an inch, and the steel used is vacuum-degassed and heat-treated for maximum endurance. Thus, these motors are exceptionally reliable.
Teknic offers brushless servo motors in two lines: Instrument grade and Industrial grade. Instrument grade motors are value-engineered, high-torque motors intended for typical lab environments or where the motors will be reasonably protected from harsh environments. Industrial-grade models are robust, sealed motors perfect for harsh environments.

Custom windings are available on select SmartMotors. These special windings allow SmartMotors to achieve higher speeds or greater torque.
Custom shaft lengths and diameters are available on select SmartMotors. Flats and keyways are common options found on motor shafts. SmartMotors can be purchased with various versions of these shaft modifications.
Torque vs. Speed curve data is derived under dynamometer testing using a power/battery supply at an ambient temperature of 27°C (80.6°F).

The new TorqueWire series of integral servo systems creates a different approach to complex automatic machinery architecture. Torquewire motors are complete, self sufficient servo axis building blocks which allow the design, integration and operation of large multi axis systems with minimum hardware and surprising ease.
The TorqueWire motor systems consist of an advanced, high performance rare earth brushless servo motor, a DSP based, high voltage interpolating servo drive and a single or multi turn absolute encoder, all assembled in a very compact IP 68 protected frame.
