These electromagnetic holding magnets are used in electrically operated independent clamping devices to hold open fire protection doors and exits. The doors are held open either in a fixed position or in a manually adjustable angle until they are electrically released.

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
Assembled on a fixed part, these suction cups ensure the magnetic maintenance of the doors via a reinforcing plate. The release is obtained: by electric drive remotely cut of the supply voltage for the models with lack of tension powering for the models with emission of current manually via a pushbutton (models with lack of tension). The return to the position “maintenance” is obtained while bringing back the door in the initial position.

URR
The URR water nozzle produces a pressurized water spray which canbe continuously adjusted from a powerful straight jet, to a 160° round water curtain with a 11 meter (36 feet) diameter.
Please note the capacity changes in these two extreme operating conditions.
A strong rubber ring circles the diameter immediately behind the orifice, to avoid damages due to shocks.

These lances make it possible to insantly switch among three different conditions, that is closed %u2013 straight jet %u2013 adjustable full cone spray.
The two larger size models can be supplied complete with an optional water curtain, to avoid the fire fighter beoing exposed to radiant heat from the open flame.

Base and Thermal Layers
The fabric in the flame retardant base layer is 50% flame resistant Lenzing® viscose and 50% wool, which provides insulation as well as flame resistance. The flame retardant viscose fibres have been treated with a mixture of phosphorus and sulphate. The flame retarding treatment is permanent and effective, even after the garments have been repeatedly washed. The combination of wool and viscose provides good insulation properties and a high level of comfort. Flame retardant fibre pile is made of 80% Zirpro®-processed flame retardant wool and 20% flame retardant Trevira SEC®. This process ensures permanent and effective protection. Viking, Saracen & Saxon layflat hoses
Viking fire hoses are chosen by fire fighting professionals throughout the world for their quality, performance and reliability. It is constructed with an all synthetic woven textile reinforcement encased in a blend of high tensile PVC/Nitrile rubber which forms a unified lining and cover. The outer ribbing provides excellent abrasion resistance. Viking fire hose is independently tested to BS 6391 :Type 3 1983 by RAPA Technologies.
Saracen fire hoses are for use where fire fighting is less frequent or intensive. Saracen offers an affordable alternative to Viking without any performance penalty. It is constructed in the same layered way to the Viking though without the heavy protective ribbing, nitrile-PVC is used which makes the hose lighter.

The original concept for the coveted Sabre ELSA - Emergency Life Support Apparatus was developed to help avoid unecessary loss of life, like that seen during the 1982 Falklands war. During this conflict it was found that 90% of fatalities onboard ship died through smoke inhalation.
