Three-phase and neutral line filters are a compact solution for the interference suppression on the mains input of cabinets and control units of equipment, ranging from industrial applications like machine tools to sensitive medical installations. These typically involve separate and often
insufficiently filtered frequency inverters and SMPS, causing current imbalance and significant interference problems. As individual elements they may be interference-suppressed already. The conjunction of several switching components in the same cabinet and a non-EMC conscious cabling will rise the demand for an additional EMC filter on the mains input of the whole installation. Many times this is the only way to get the CE mark for the cabinet in accordance with the EMC directive.

High current/high voltage bolt-in filters featuring current ratings up to 100 ADC or rated voltages up to 1250 VDC. Glass seal filters are used where a rugged, hermetically sealed filter is required. Snap-On EMI Ferrite Cores for Broad Band EMI Solutions
Steward, a unit of Laird Technologies, has designed three sleek attractive high-performance split Snap-On ferrite cable cores in plastic cases. These devices were designed with exterior consumer product cables in mind and have the look of a plastic overmolded ferrite core with the convenience and ease of a split Snap-On. Impedance (Z) up to 572 Ă at 100 MHz and 688 Ă at 300 MHz.
With many applications that require high impedance, just snapping these cores on the cable with one pass through will provide enough EMI attenuation to do the job, eliminating the need for multiple turn configurations.
