SILAIR is a panel for electromagnetic protection and screening for ventilation, heating ducts, lighting apertures…
The metal honeycomb cells of SILAIR use the waveguide principle which provides excellent attenuation but a minimal loss of pressure.
It allows air to circulate while ensuring the electrical screening of the aperture.
The outer frame enables the SILAIR panel to be fixed to its support. In certain cases a conductive gasket is recommended between the frame and its support.

StreamShield™ Commercial EMI Vents

Low cost StreamShield vent panels provide high levels of EMI shielding in applications such as computer network and wireless infrastructure cabinets. These vent panels feature aluminum honeycomb within rolled aluminum frames. The result is a lightweight, high airflow solution for enclosures requiring both cooling and high levels (50 dB at 10 GHz) of shielding. An optional intumescent coating provides fire barrier properties. On exposure to flame or heat at 300°F (149°C) the coating expands rapidly to fill the honeycomb cells and prevent flame passage. Standard panels feature 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) honeycomb cells, 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) thick. Complete frame/honeycomb assemblies are chromate conversion coated.
SLIMVENT™ Thin Profile EMI Vents
Chomerics' SLIMVENT™ air ventilation panels provide 90 dB attenuation at 1 MHz to 50 dB at 10 GHz. The panels are made from expanded aluminum or monel (nickel-copper) foil, secured in an extruded aluminum frame only 0.187 inch (4.75 mm) thick. This narrow profile is ideal for accommodating critical space limitations at air intake and exhaust ports. The frame has an integral wire mesh gasket for EMI shielding at the mounting interface. SLIMVENT air panels are fabricated to customer specifications.
CHO-ITO™ - ITO Coated Conductive Windows
Chomerics offers a range of EMI shielded windows with ITO conductive coatings for use in EMI/RFI shielding applications. The combination of high visible light transmission, near neutral color and low electrical resistance make an ideal EMI/RFI shield for electronic displays requiring moderate shielding effectiveness and high quality optical properties. CHO-ITO™ is a cost effective alternative to a mesh laminated window.

Chomerics WIN-SHIELD windows are performance-tested glass and plastic assemblies for displays requiring EMI radiation or susceptibility shielding. ATI Dual Stack Ventilation panel is a high level EMI shielded air filter with superior performance. Extruded aluminum profiles surround dual layers of ¼-inch honeycomb and welded in place. Both honeycomb layers are positioned 90 degrees to each other, optimizing shielding effectiveness and minimizing the polarization characteristics of straight aluminum honeycomb. Alco-Multi Gasket, a combination of neoprene sponge and monel mesh or Alco-Knit, is installed on the panel. ATI's brass and steel honeycomb vent panels are recommended when structural integrity, H-Field shielding effectiveness, harsh environmental conditions and durability are primary concerns. Brass or steel extrusions are customized to surround brass or steel honeycomb and welded in place. Continuous flow soldering provides enhanced contact between the honeycomb and frame improving integrity. Alco Multi-Gasket, a combination of neoprene sponge and monel mesh fit, most applications although Alco-Knit or conductive gaskets are available. Standard through holes and spacing for surface mounting installation is customized. Vents without gasketing can be welded in place. Brass vents are typically finished with tin lead plating. Steel vents are commonly finished with tin plating. Other plating options available. Ideal for mobile military transportation, communication shelters or equipment where EMP or TEMPEST is required.

ATI-Thin Filter is the thinnest profile EMI shielded air filter. Extruded aluminum surrounds a singular thin piece of expanded monel or aluminum metal screen and welded in place. Alco-Knit or conductive gasket increase shielding effectiveness. Through hole locations are customized for easy surface mount installation. Plating options enhance shielding effectiveness. ATI- Thin Filters are frequently placed at intake and exhaust areas and are best utilized where narrow space limitations are a requirement.

Mat EM 1002 with densities of 100, 150, 225 g/m2 is manufactured from chopped strands made of glass fibre bound together with an emulsion binder and drawn from E glass containing less than 1% of alkalies. The diameter of filament is 9 µm. The mat has a reduced strand linear density (tex) and the surface weight (density) comparing to the standard emulsion mat. It is very soft and it sets very well in a mould taking perfectly its very complicated shapes. It is characterised by a medium wet-out rate in a non-saturated polyester resin and by a good ability to remove air in the process of lamination.
Application
Emulsion bound mat EM 1002 with surface weights of 100 g/m2,150 g/m2 225 g/m2 is suitable for making laminates in a contact process. It is used with all types of non-saturated polyester resins for manufacturing products reinforced with glass fibre. It suites especially for manufacturing gel coated products as their reinforcement. It is also particularly recommended as the external layer of laminate in case of products with improved aesthetics of the surface.

CFM is made from continuous fiberglass strands randomly looped and bonded together with a minimal binder that is compatible with a variety of unfilled or filled resin systems including PE/PV, PE/PU, Phenolic, PU, PU/Epoxy.

It is particularly suitable for compression molded electrical and non-electrical laminates. Pultruded shapes made with AGY CFM have outstanding transverse- and random-direction strength. Typical applications include electrical flat sheet, grading and railings, window frames, boat hulls and transoms, cooling tower structural shapes and ladder rails.

Shake-out grids are machines using predominantly vertical vibration to separate castings and sand / sand lumps. They are predominantly used for large piece weights and low quantities.
The material is charged by crane. After the process the de-sanded castings are removed by crane. With this facility the sand shaken out is recycled in a downstream treatment plant and returned.
