Over-Molded Cover Seals
Enclosure shielding and environmental sealing performance are improved in a number of ways when conductive elastomer gaskets are molded directly to a flange surface instead of being adhesive bonded or mechanically attached. Over-molded gaskets provide the optimum seal profile, achieving more gasket deflection with limited closure force when compared to flat, bonded gaskets.
Molded D- and O-Rings
Parker Chomerics' D-ring and O-ring conductive elastomer gaskets provide moisture/pressure sealing and EMI shielding when compressed in a properly designed groove. They are interchangeable with standard non-conductive seals of the same dimensions.
Custom Molded Gaskets
Parker Chomerics can mold conductive elastomer EMI gaskets to fit practically any application. Custom molded elastomer gaskets can include tight corners, retention bumps and other special geometries. Many other features can be added, such as fabric or mesh reinforcement, pressure-sensitive adhesive, fasteners and compression stops. Non-conductive silicone environmental seals can be bonded to or co-molded with conductive EMI shielding elastomers.
Connector Gaskets
Chomerics' die-cut conductive elastomer gaskets provide shielding and environmental sealing when inserted between a connector flange and their mating surfaces. A variety of Mil-Standard mounting flange EMI gaskets are available, along with interfacial EMI seals and jam nut seals. Chomerics also provides D-subminiature rectangular gaskets in a complement of shell sizes from 9 to 50 pin.

Conductive Non-Woven textile appears as compact felt, characterized by a less volumetric resistivity, very good punching and competitive price with respect to other materials, above all for medium/great (>5.000 pieces).
Such materials can be supply as semifinished in rolls or various height and length spools for following customer machining or punching on drawing.
Their use is recommended when it take a good Shielding Performance, electrostatic discharges protections or grounding, without particular environmental requirements.
Typical applications are: cable flanges, panel or plate connectors, permanent closings on cabinets and easy to apply for shielding rooms.

Conductive foam offers unmatched compression set performance while providing a relatively soft Compression Load Deflection (CLD) curve. Lower CLD properties further reduce the potential for distortion while in application. When the gasket is compressed greater than the recommended 50%, compression force is reduced by half.
A popular Laird Technologies product in this category is Electro-Seal conductive elastomers. Electro-Seal conductive elastomers are ideal for both military and commercial applications requiring both environmental sealing and EMI shielding. Compounds can be supplied in molded or extruded shapes, sheet stock, custom extruded or die-cut shapes to meet a wide variety of applications. Electro-Seal conductive elastomers provide shielding effectiveness up to 120dB at 10GHz.

Conductive urethanes are made by three layers, PET + PU + PET, heat sealed between them and made conductive through chemical-galvanic bath (Cu+Ni).
They appears as soft mat (width 30cm), sufficiently compact.
Able to realize punching gaskets for flanges and connectors, are also particularly suitable to realize shielding cells (compartimentation).

Connector gaskets can be die-cut to specification. They increase the electric continuity between connector gaskets and boxes.
The texture, homogeneity and chemical composition of the silicone base is not changed or modified by the presence of metal wires. The tolerance of NEOSIL F to
chemical corrosion and vibration as well as its durability are the same as for pure silicone. The presence of wires running perpendicular to the surfaces, but contained in the mass of the material, does not affect the airtightness or watertightness performance of NEOSIL F. In addition, since Monel wire ensures good compatibility with most metals, even the slightness galvanic corrosion is rarely detected between NEOSIL F gaskets and its support, even in aluminium.

These EMI Shielding Gaskets are realized covering one soft foam of Polyurethane, Silicone or Neoprene with conductive polyester woven (Nickel or Tin-Copper electroless or galvanic deposit on all single polyamide yearns and then weaved).
This contribute to obtain excellent efficiency shielding and invariability in the time of the conductivity value (until 0.08 Ohm/sq - value max).
The sizes are square, rectangular, circular or "D" but our equipment, however, allow different form sections.
The installation, usually, is realized by a biadhesive tape laid on a side of the gasket (standard).
Considered high abrasion resistance of covering woven of these gaskets, ideal use is on cabinet doors subject to frequent openings, therefore where it is normally desired a puny clothing strength.

SPRINGMESH™ Highly Resilient Mesh Gasket
SPRINGMESH™ gaskets feature a highly resilient, hollow knit, tin-plated steel mesh that provides excellent recovery from high compressive forces. Compression set is less than 30% at 80% compression. Round profile SPRINGMESH gaskets are ideally suited for gasket-in-a-groove applications, such as in cast housings for outdoor CATV boxes, NEMA enclosures with outboard environmental seals, and industrial enclosures.
POLASHEET®, POLASTRIP® Composite Gasket
POLASHEET® and POLASTRIP® gasketing are composite EMI shielding and weather sealing materials. Monel wire embedded in silicone and oriented perpendicular to mating flange surfaces provides the EMI shielding. Either solid or sponge silicone can be specified as the weather seal. Wires are crimped for additional resiliency. POLASHEET materials are supplied in sheet form from which gaskets are easily die-cut. POLASTRIP gaskets are provided in strip form or as finished custom gaskets fabricated from strips.
COMBO STRIP® Wire Mesh and Elastomer Weather Seal
COMBO STRIP® gaskets combine Chomerics' MESH STRIP gasketing in parallel with an integral elastomer weather sealing strip. They are available with or without adhesive backing in a broad range of standard cross sections. COMBO STRIP gaskets are recommended for applications requiring a weather seal in addition to EMI shielding. The standard mesh is monel or Ferrex (tin-plated, copper-clad steel) wire.
METALASTIC® EMI Gasketing with Pressure Seal
Chomerics METALASTIC® gasketing is a composite EMI and pressure seal in thin sheet form. Shielding is provided by woven aluminum mesh. Pressure sealing is achieved by neoprene or silicone elastomer impregnated in the mesh. PORCUPINE METALASTIC® gasketing is available in two forms: EMI shielding with pressure seal and EMI shielding only. Shielding is provided by expanded monel foil. For pressure sealing properties, the expanded monel is filled with silicone elastomer. All METALASTIC gasketing is available in sheets and die-cut shapes.
