Absolute coders MT
The multi-turn absolute coders seize the mechanical movement of rotation of a drive on several revolutions.
Absolute coders ST
The absolute coder ST delivers for each angular position a value of coded position single. The value of absolute position is available as of the interlocking of the system. For this reason, a race of reference during the interlocking of the system is superfluous.
|
|
The incremental coder is planned for demanding applications relating to the detection of angles, direction of rotation and speeds. He delivers a signal whose values are in relative connection with the position of reference zero.

DS-90 Rotary, Sine/Cosine Absolute,
Electric Encoder
The DS-90 is a member of the DS series, which is based on Netzer Precision Electric Encoder technology. This, state-of-the-art, technology offers many features, some unparalleled:
- Lowest profile (? 10 mm)
- High precision, absolute position output
- High tolerance to temperature, shock and moisture
- Tolerance to EMI, RFI, and to magnetic fields
- Very low weight
The holistic (1) structure of the Electric Encoder provides generous mounting tolerance, thus obviating the need for internal ball bearings. The absence of bearings, flexible couplers, glass disc, light sources and detectors, along with very low power consumption, make the DS-90 encoder virtually failure free.
The internally shielded, DC operated DS-90 includes an electric field generator, a field receiver, a sinusoidally-contoured dielectric rotor, and processing electronics. The coarse/fine, analog output signals are proportional to the sine and cosine of the rotation angle.
Demanding applications suited to the DS-90 include: Aerospace, medical, instrumentation, automation, etc. |

Model 600 Series (Robust)
Field bus interfaces based on Ethernet, PROFIBUS or CAN are examples of the communication protocols often used in automation. These interfaces are available on the Model 600 Series absolute coded singleturn or multiturn encoders. A robust mechanical design in shaft or hollow shaft design ensures that installation and start-up of these models are always reduced to a minimum. Serial point-to-point interfaces such as EnDat or the popular SSI are examples of other communication interfaces often used for position feedback from absolute coded encoders.

Our rotary Electric Encoders are tolerant to temperature extremes, EMI, RFI, magnetic fields, contamination, moisture, shock and vibrations. Their hollow, floating, rotor does not require bearings and is directly mountable on the host shaft.
The absence of ball bearings, glass disc, light sources and detectors, and low power consumption leave the Rotary Electric Encoder with virtually no failure mechanisms. It is, therefore, ideally suited to a wide range of applications, among them aerospace, military & defense, automotive, medical and robotic.
DS family of Rotary Encoders
The DS family of electric encoders provide exceptionally accurate, high resolution, absolute position. Their ring construction and very low profile allows compact, "friendly" mechanical integration. The DS family of encoders ranges from the DS-25 with 25mm OD and 7mm profile to the DS-247 with 247 mm diameter and 10mm profile. |

| Pulse encoders from Leine&Linde are a type of sensor used to feed back speed or position for rotational or linear movements. Encoders are often used on electrical motors in the paper and steel industries, cranes, robots and material handling systems as well as various types of measurement, testing and inspection systems. |

Model 800 Series (Heavy duty)
When the most robust, maintenance-free and cost-effective pulse encoder solution is sought after, the encoders in the Model 800 Series are the first choice of the majority of designers. The optional ADSTM (Advanced Diagnostic System) is a built-in system used for condition-based or preventative maintenance, guaranteeing the reliability of the application. Demanding environments and electrically or mechanically stressful installations are circumstances the encoders in the Model 800 Series are often exposed to and for which they are well-protected. Accessories and ready-made design solutions meant to guarantee operation and increase service life which reduce the total cost of the application are also offered as options for the encoder series.

Model 500 Series (Robust)
"Versatile" and "modular" are catchwords that differentiate the incremental and absolute encoders in the Model 500 Series of robust encoders. Used in many different types of industrial applications such as electric motors, cranes, elevators and general automation, the series' mechanical, optical and electrical interfaces have become industry standard. If the standard selection of interfaces does not suit the application's particular requirements, customised, cost-effective solutions may be provided with short lead times.

Incremental encoder is the term given to sensors for recording changes in position (linear or rotating) that can measure both the distance and direction of travel.
They are also known as optical encoders.
Unlike measuring systems that work continuously, incremental encoders have a solid measure with a repeating periodic counting track. The measurement is based on a directional reference and a count. |
