Do not always choose the highest number of revolutions; a lower number of revolutions increases the maintenance intervals and the service life, and noise. In case of long-term operation of more than 1,500 service hours per year, the number of revolutions should not exceed 2,600 rpm.
The power demand of the driven machine often cannot be determined exactly, therefore, allowance must be made for safety reserve capacities, as well as for altitude and ambient temperature, if they differ from the standard*.

The Scania 16-litre V8 diesel is the ideal industrial engine for the really tough demands – available both for all-speed industrial applications and power generation purposes. With impressive torque right from low revs, it has the power and performance needed for truly heavy working-conditions.
Quick response to load changes, good fuel consumption and low emission levels, a design that allows it to be tailor-made to suit specific requirements are important benefi ts that come with the package. When using it as an all-speed engine, one major advantage that adds to the
drivability, is the access to maximum torque from just a few hundred revs above idling speed and throughout the rev band.
And of course it is compact enough to fit most installations.
Impressive power. Massive torque.

he new GUASCOR SFGLD series stand out for their toughness and high performance under the hardest working conditions. GUASCOR has applied new very resistant materials in the construction of the SFGLD engines.
On GUASCOR SFGLD engines, load carburation, speed and load are electronically self controlled, so they can operate at constant and limited emissions in spite of variation. The engine adapts to different qualities of gas wich even allows to switch from natural gas to biogas with no stops. A computerised module provides readouts of the spark plugs condition or allows ignition advance to be adjusted through external signals. GUASCOR engines may be fitted with GUASCOR engines can be equipped with a detonation detection and control system. This enables the engine to work under the severest working conditions while avoiding the effects of persistent detonation.
