An ever broadening spectrum of thermoplastics and applications calls for versatile processing solutions. Cincinnati Extrusion has developed the monos series of high-performance single-screw extruders for maximum performance, efficiency and melt homogeneity in the extrusion of smooth or corrugated PE and PP plastic pipes.
This has been accomplished thanks to a new screw concept and the extension of the plasticizing unit to 37D. In addition, the series has been equipped with an innovative drive system.
Newly developed screws and power feed technology (PFT) provide an increase in the extruder%u2019s specific output.
The new plasticizing unit has proven effective in the production of corrugated pipes, where some dies tend to generate high back pressure.
In all models of the monos series, the motor is positioned underneath the feed zone which reduces the footprint, making it extremely short and slim.
monos extruders yield up to 40% higher output than their predecessor models with a maximum output of 1,300 kg/hr.

The konos series of conical twin-screw extruders is the fifth conical machine generation developed by Cincinnati Extrusion. Konos machines are being manufactured by the inventor of the conical twin-screw extruder and are founded on the tremendous experience of a company that has built over 6,000 conical extruders so far.
Our customers benefit from this experience. The konos series has an enormous processing latitude, long life, and an extremely good price-performance ratio. It comprises the standard models konos 38, 50, 63, 72, and the co-extrusion models konos 38 and 50 coex.
Konos machines perform excellently at both low and high melt pressure, and also as co-extruders. Their processing characteristics and advantageous design features make them the machines of choice for a wide range of applications.
Various feeding modes can be realised depending on the property of the material and the product requirements. A gated hopper, a dosing unit or a stuffer can be used.
With the EXcPRO-XP control unit, incorporating the latest trends and developments in the field of personal computers and programmable logic control, konos extruders are even more cost-efficient.

Due to its versatility, flexibility, and high operational convenience the KAHL extruder is also appropriate for the production of extruded snacks. Thanks to its completely unproblematic starting and stopping behaviour, for example, the extruder type OEE 8 is the optimum machine for developing creative product designs and testing new formulae. Dies and final paddles
are changed within a few minutes. The waste of expensive raw materials is practically excluded by the unique hydraulic system which serves for fast opening and closing of the extruder with the die.
Fish feed
Floating or slowly sinking pellets can be produced for:
tilapia, carps, catfish. Very slowly sinking pellets for trouts, salmons, and perches. Or water-stable pellets for shrimps and other crustaceans. The production of extruded feed with a granular size of 0.1 - 2 mm is
possible, too.
Petfood
The production of high-quality petfood for dogs, cats, or zoo animals requires an optimum treatment of the mixtures during the fine grinding, pre-conditioning, extrusion, as well as coating processes.
