The Cata-Dyne™ Line Heater is designed to increase the temperature of gaseous fluids to avoid hydrates formation during pressure drop. Applications across the oil and gas industry include heating high pressure natural gas prior to pressure reduction to prevent hydrates formation, heating fuel gas for natural gas fired turbines and heating thick oils to improve ease of distribution.
Each unit consists of Cata-Dyne™ gas catalytic heaters mounted within a self-contained stainless steel structure. Heaters are strategically positioned to apply direct infrared heat at a pre-determined thermal density to an interior offset serpentine tube heat exchanger.
Features & Benefits At A Glance
* uniform diameter offset serpentine configuration is designed to promote high velocity turbulent flow resulting in maximum transfer of energy to the gas stream
* Cata-Dyne™ gas catalytic heaters provide infrared energy through a chemical reaction, resulting in a quieter heating system
* does not require the use of glycol to transfer heat
* flanged and serpentine tube heat exchanger is designed for quick installation
* all Cata-Dyne™ gas catalytic heaters and unit enclosures are made from stainless steel, limiting corrosion and maintenance
* automatic units feature custom-engineered control panels with PLC controlled systems; heat is applied only when required, and at the rate required, reducing operating costs
* designed for use in Class I, Division 1 or 2, Group D hazardous locations |

Applications:
Crankcase heaters are used to overcome the problem of migration and condensation of refrigerant in the crankcases of compressors used in air conditioning and heat pump systems.
They are designed to keep the crankcase oil at a temperature higher than the coldest part of the system to prevent migration.
Features:
Hotwatt Crankcase Heaters are constructed of the highest quality corrosion
resistance materials and sealed against moisture.
The following list Hotwatt Crankcase Heaters by the OEM manufacturer. In addition, custom designed crankcase heaters and variations to the units shown are also available.

DRUM HEATERS - for 200 litre barrels.
Drum Heaters facilitate the handling of solidified or viscous materials like adhesives, waxes, tar, chemicals, oils etc. They eliminate cumbersome methods and high investments, associated with steam and oil or fire wood heating.
Construction
Drum Heaters consist of a cylindrical metal cover carrying the flexible heating elements. A 2" thick thermal lagging of glass wool provides insulation and the metal casing makes for a rugged unit that can be wrapped snugly around the drum. The Drum Heater is hinged, and is mounted on castors for convenience. A base heater, also encapsulated in metal provides bottom heating. Control Panel incorporating thermostatic control is provided with the heaters. |
