BAGWARE® the software package developed by ALSTEF can control all the baggage screening process.
At the centre of the system, BAGWARE® makes the interface with the Airport flight software (FIMS : Flight Information Management System), with the conveyor control PLC’s, and with the DCV ground control system.
BAGWARE® can also interface with the SCADA systems dedicated to the baggage sortation equipment, with the Airport GTC, the FIDS (Flight Information Display System) and the BRS (Baggage Reconciliation System).
BAGWARE® developed under LINUX/ORACLE is supported by a cluster ensuring the redundancy of the equipment. In case of breakdown, the hardware/software architecture will carry on the operations automatically, without any operator action.
The BAGWARE® flight module is not compulsory but can be added. Using an ergonomic operator interface it allocates the chutes to the flights. The PFAD Plus configuration program permits swift selection of a complete drive package - consisting of three-phase motor, frequency converter, and other components such as line reactor, line filter, brake unit, etc. A menu-driven configuration with explanation of the inputs through an extensive help system makes handling easy and provides optimum results. Displaying various curves such as the motor limit curve together with the necessary motor torque values simplifies optimization and shows the reserves. Once a drive has been configured, the system perturbations can also be calculated. The beginner can call various typical configurations including the associated task definitions. Of course, PFAD Plus provides a comprehensive documentation that contains all input values, calculation results, curves, and a parts and ordering list. PFAD Plus is now available as Version V2.80 with an enhanced functionality.

SOLID EDGE Wiring Harness
Solid Edge Wire Harness Design is a dedicated process driven environment for the efficient creation, routing and organization of wires, cables and bundles in a Solid Edge assembly. Wire Harness Design allows electrical and mechanical design teams to collaborate on designs to create complete and accurate digital mockups containing both mechanical and electrical components, and removes the need for expensive physical prototypes. Design violations such as exceeding physical bundle size or a bend radius being too tightly routed are constantly monitored as the harness is being designed; live feedback immediately displays any problems. Reporting of cable and wire cut length and attributes (allowing for a slack percentage and wire stripping) are captured during the harness design process. The export of ready-to-use 'net list' files adds these mechanical attributes to generate harness designs that are ready for manufacturing.
Automatic wire harness design
Once electrical engineers have developed and proven their designs using electrical prototypes (a task becoming increasingly important as the size and complexity of electrical systems increase), the harness wizard allows mechanical engineers to automatically generate and route physical wires and cables. The harness wizard uses input from dedicated electrical schematics applications such as Mentor Graphics, Cimteam and Vesys to automatically transfer any net-list components and connections to Solid Edge.
