New Brunswick Scientific manufactures state-of-the art cGMP-compliant fermentors and cell culture bioreactors for research through production.
Microbial Fermentors: NBS offers a wide range autoclavable and sterilizable-in-place (SIP) BioFlo stirred-tank fermentors in 1 - 3,000 liter capacities, ideal for heat inductions, growth of e.coli, pichia pastoris and streptomyces yeasts, and baculovirus, as well as traditional anaerobic and aerobic culture from recombinant microbial, yeast and fungal cells. Benchtop microbial fermentors may be converted to cell culture bioreactors through addition of optional components. These modularly-designed systems can be easily modified to your specific needs through addition of standard options.
Cell Culture Bioreactors: NBS stirred-tank bioreactors are offered in 1 - 650 liter capacities, and come in pre-sterilized single-use systems, as well as autoclavable and SIP systems for growth of mammalian cells. NBS bioreactors are also offered with a wide variety of options and specialized impellers, including a packed-bed basket for high yield production of secreted products.

Pilot
SB Series/SBS Series
Completely assembled and tested in the factory, these fermentation units are ready for installation at the user ‘s site.
The “touch screen” system permits to visualise all the fluxes, the control of all valves engaged, activation of the peristaltic pumps, temperature, pressure, air rate, pH, dissolved oxigen, agitation.
The control system is the same that is installed in the fermenters of S and SBI series, which is facilitating the scaling-up procedure.
