The Fiber Optic pH Sensor system consists of a fiber optic probe designed to hold immobilized colorimetric indicator dye materials, plus a light source, spectrometer and OOISensors Software. You can supply your own indicator material, or select from our line of transparent or reflective films. Calibration involves recording spectra in high and low pH samples, and in at least one pH standard such as a NIST-traceable buffer.

LDM80
Signal Powered Fiber Optic Modem
DESCRIPTION
The LDM80 is a small, inexpensive fiber optic transmitter/receiver completely powered by the host RS-232 port. The enclosure for the LDM80 is a conductive shell which greatly reduces RF radiation and susceptibility. The rugged metal enclosure is small enough to mount on the back panel of typical computer equipment saving valuable desk and floor space. A pair of these units allows most RS-232C cable links to be replaced and extended with a duplex fiber optic cable. The normal 50-foot (15m) RS-232 limit may be extended to 2.2 miles (3.5 km). Fiber optic data communications provide complete EMI/RFI rejection, isolation, elimination of ground loops, and reduced error rates. Data security is enhanced by almost nonexistent electromagnetic emissions. The RS-232 connection is through male or female EIA 25-pin connectors. The fiber optic connection is through ST connectors.
The LDM80 is equivalent to a 3-wire, full duplex, RS-232 circuit. Handshake signals are locally connected as in Figure 1. Indicating LEDs come on during a "SPACE" on transmit or receive data. A TD/RD reversing DIP switch is provided for connection to DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) or DCE (Data Communication Equipment) ports.

RocketLinx MC5001 and MC7001 are full-featured industrial grade serial and Ethernet fiber media converters. They are designed to meet the needs for EMI immunity and extended fiber transmission within the harsh environments typical of traffic, power, rail, and other industrial applications.
The RocketLinx family includes models supporting Single-mode and Multi-mode ports for long distance transmission. FL 70 RA-..D
Analogue output
The FL 70 RA-..D has an analogue output, which is of particular advantage for complex applications such as the connection of a socalled cross-section transformer. This enables e.g. checks with regard to object size and automatic edge control.

The FL 70 R version operates without a display and is a cheap alternative for standard applications. An easy teach-in function is common to all of the sensor versions. Teach-in is carried out at the touch of a key and external teach-in is possible via a teach cable. The keys can also be locked.

Introduction
The ICF-1150 series support 2 serial ports, with a D-sub connector for RS-232 communication and a removable terminal block for RS-422 or RS-485 communication. The 3 ports (2 serial ports and one fiber port) are completely independent. When an ICF-1150 converter receives data from any one port, it will send the data out through the other 2 ports. For example, once the ICF-1150 converter receives a command from the remote master through the fiber port, it will convert the signal and send the command through the RS-232 and RS-422/485 ports at the same time. If the user is monitoring a system running on an RS-485 network, there is no need to use an additional RS-232 to RS-485 converter to connect the laptop computer’s serial port to the RS-485 bus.

Any two pieces of asynchronous serial equipment can communicate at half or full duplex over two fibers at rates up to 460 kbps for RS-422/485 or 115.2 kbps for RS-232 with a pair of these converters. Fiber lines are inherently resistant to EMI/RFI and transient surges, so they are ideal for data communications near heavy electrical equipment and other electrical or radio interference.
Standards can be mixed and matched so RS-232 devices can be connected to RS-422/485 devices, replacing a converter and isolator. When working with RS-485 signals, B&B Electronics’ Automatic Send Data control eliminates the need for driver software. PerkinElmer’s new Fiber Optic Module has been designed for OEM fiber illumination applications. The module uses an LED light source designed to couple high intensity white light into fiber optic bundles for applications including medical endoscopy,microscopy and machine vision. It offers an energy-efficient, maintenance-free alternative to halogen-based and metal-halide fiber optic illuminators. The LED source is comprised of high power white LEDs, patent-pending optics to precisely couple light into fiber and a heat sink. It has been designed to couple light into 3-10 mm fiber; the light is easily adaptable to a broad range of fiber manufacturers and sizes. Light intensity control electronics are available as an option.
The LED light module delivers a high intensity homogenous spot from the distal end of the fiber bundle. The new module offers a low heat, and low voltage alternative to 150-Watt halogen-based fiber illuminators. In contrast to halogen bulbs, the color temperature of LED light does not change when the light is dimmed or as the bulb ages, resulting in a consistent visual appearance.
