These new fiber-optic amplifiers for mounting on DIN rails (DIN/EN 50022) are distinctive thanks to their narrow housing width of just 10 mm, which permits their optimum stacking in large numbers. The devices are further distinguished by their long sensing range, which extends from 0 to > 200 mm, depending on the optical fibers used (no blind zone). The operating distance can be adjusted between 20 and 200 mm. Adjustment is effected by means of a 12-turn potentiometer with an illuminated scale. The devices are simple to operate and feature an excellent switch-point stability as well as a high switching frequency of 1.5 kHz. The switching output can be set to either light- or dark-On directly on the device. Besides this, these fiber-optic devices have an aditional excess light output and are largely insensitive to environmental influences (IP 64). They are available with both red light and blue light (sensing range 0 to > 100 mm, adjustable from 20 to 100 mm). In addition, the Contrinex range also includes high-performance devices with sensitivity adjustment by teach-in.

This light wave amplifier contains one (LWV-SE) or two (LWV-KS) optical transmitter and receiver.
The received signal will be amplified and coupled back into the fiber optic cable by the transmitter. Using these devices makes unlimited transmission paths possible.
In addition to amplifying we can realise a media conversion (e.g. Multimode to Singlemode).

Amphenol Fiber Optic Products offers over 15 years
experience in the manufacturing of fiber optic couplers
through the fused biconic taper technology (FBT) and is
licensed by British Telecom for this fabrication technique.
An optical coupler is a passive device that precisely
distributes light signals between two fibers over a broadband
operating window. Each device offers a bi-directional
performance allowing for either power splitting or signal
combining. Amphenol’s couplers are manufactured using a
precision computer-controlled manufacturing process capable
of producing large volumes and tight unit-to-unit uniformity.

Special features
Easy, intuitive adjustment
Bright 2x 4 digit display
Version with M8-connector
Integrated lock functions
Version with external teach-in and integrated teach-in feedback
The newest Series 67 line of fiber optic sensors is attracting much attention thanks to its simple, intuitive operator interface. Simply pressing the teach-in key twice allows two different objects or contrasts to be "learned" by the sensor. The bright, 2x4 digit display simultaneously shows the taught switching point as well as the relative receiving light level. Just like a potentiometer, the switching point can be changed at any time by using the +/- key. Two different security features protect the sensor against unintentional manipulation during ongoing operation: One is a complete lock, while the other option only allows access to the teach-in and manual switching point adjustment, while locking out all other adjustments such as light/dark operation, timer functions or the operating mode with defined response time. The new fiber optic sensor also boasts a wide variety of application possibilities. With a response time of only 50 microseconds it is among the fastest fiber optic sensors available on the market and therefore lends itself to high-speed processes. The integrated 12-bit A/D converter provides high resolution even in large ranges up to 4 m.

Fiberguide Industries has designed a line of standard Collimators and Focus Guides for use with a wide variety of optical systems. These ruggedized modules are manufactured to accept SMA, ST, FC, or machined ferrule style connectors. Assembled and preset at our factory to meet required specifications, all Collimators and Focus Guides can be adjusted to provide the flexibility necessary for certain set ups. Designed to collimate or focus light exiting
an optical fiber to a desired beam diameter or spot size from the end of the module, these devices can be used with laser diodes, photodiodes, acoustic-optic modulators and other fiber optic devices. Collimators and Focus
Guides can be used as matched pairs to couple light in and out of optical devices. Focus Guides thread into the Collimator, refocusing the beam at a given distance.
The “Macro” Collimator is used with core optical fiber core sizes larger than 800ìm diameter, The “Mid-Size” Collimator is best suited for optical core sizes up to 800ìm diameter, and lastly, for smaller optical core fibers
up to 400ìm diameter, the “Micro” Collimators is the optimum choice. Macro and Mid-Size Collimators and Focus Guides are all compatible with each other.

Fiber-optic collimator lenses are made from high index glass to ensure low aberration. A solid spacer is used between the fiber and the lens to ensure a compact and robust collimator package.
Standard collimators are optimized for telecom applications, but can be adjusted to other wavelengths/applications. Optical Fiber These collimators are plano-convex spherical lenses to collimate light from singlemode fibers. The angled flat side of these lenses assures low back reflection when put in contact with an optical fiber. The curved side, due to high refractive index material, provides remarkable imaging capabilities. Those can be used for fiber-optic switches, DWDMs, fiber-optic attenuators, optical isolators and other applications. Optical Fiber Aspheric These aspheric collimators are similar to the spherical version to collimate light from optical fibers, except than the curved side is an aspheric surface optimized to improve collimation.
