Rosedale High Efficiency Filter Bags
Our HI-E series of bag filters meets the most stringent needs for fine process, hydraulic fluid, and lubricant filtration. All are made of unique microfiber materials, designed to increase the efficiency and dirt-holding capacities of these bags.
Microfiber Material Construction
Polyester or polypropylene microfibers and standard fibers are variably calendered to produce a single layer of microfiber material. Our unique construction can provide filtration to a 1 micron rating. Polyester microfiber material should be used where oil adsorption is not desirable or where higher temperatures are required.
Filtration Level
These bags have been tested by an independent laboratory to determine the filtration efficiency and dirt holding capabilities for each. They have been manufactured so that the efficiencies for both polyester and polypropylene are identical.

AAF AmerKleen filter cartridges are protected at all times by an all metal, filter housing. The AmerKleen housing is equipped with an anti-surge assembly consisting of a wire form attached to the back of each sealing frame. By holding the cartridge firmly in place, the housing protects it against turbo-surge. The AmerKleen cartridge is designed to be changed at the normal 90-day maintenance cycle, with an adequate safety margin should the locomotive encounter delays in servicing. When the time comes, installation is a fast and easy process. By the simple removal of two bolts and a sealing frame, the AmerKleen cartridge is front-loaded. Replacing the sealing frame automatically forms an air-tight seal. Normal air flow through the filter insures that all seals remain tight without the need for time-consuming alignment.

Polymer candles
Polymer candles are the choice of the processor when it is important to have the lowest capital cost combined with ease of replacement, lower downtimes and overheads. Candles are available in pleated stainless steel fibre (e.g. for PET film, fibre and resin) or cylindrical woven meshes (e.g. for BOPP film) utilising stainless or speciality steels. Our designs encompass the fully welded, REMPAKTM and re-coverable versions, with the last two options representing a lower cost product where the valuable hardware can be reused when the media has reached the end of its life.
Our candles are available in industry standard designs, or can be custom designed to fit any particular housing. With high strength, they are available in filtration ratings from 3-100 microns, and would normally be supplied with an outer guard both to protect the media. Our range of high strength, highly permeable steel stainless fibre media gives candles with low initial pressure drops and long on- stream life.
Our candles are readily cleanable with current technology and we would be happy to advise on appropriate cleaning methods available.

CPD pleated polypropylene depth cartridges are designed for clarifying applications requiring high flow capacity. The depth media utilized in the CPD product line is high loft Melt-blown polypropylene which gives exceptional flow characteristics and high dirt holding capacity because of its high internal porosity. Fine polypropylene fibers are bonded together to ensure no fiber release in a fiber matrix that maintains high porosity. Rated at 99.9% efficiencies make it a cost effective filter designed to extend final filter life.

The reliability and efficiency of any filtration system is chiefly dependent on the quality of the cartridges used in it. Our full line of quality HILCO cartridges includes various sizes, filtration efficiencies and dirt-holding capacities for virtually every application. HILCO can restore many oils and coolants to a like-new condition.
All cartridges are developed to provide long service life and high quality. Many different media are specially selected, formulated and fine tuned on a regular basis to provide the most effective combination of fluid compatibility, particle-separation efficiency, low pressure drop and structural properties.
Controlled radius pleats are designed to maximize filtration area and dirt-holding capacity while resisting pinching, distortion and rupture. Gasket materials and adhesives are selected based on their compatibility with fluids and operating temperatures of each application. Cartridges feature rugged, fiberglass filled nylon and plated steel centertubes which resist collapse at high pressure differentials.
Fuel gas, process gas, seal gas, H2O injection, and transformer oil applications can also be accommodated by HILCO. We also make HILCO-quality replacements for other brands of cartridges used in lube oil and fuel oil applications.

Biofil PES
Incorporating a hydrophilic membrane, the Biofil cartridge has a unique mirrored asymmetric structure which gives the media added strength and very low clean pressure drops. This helps to ensure that cartridge integrity is maintained when repeatedly steam sterilised. The characteristics of the membrane also results in excellent resistance to hydrolysis, along with low protein binding and colour stripping. Furthermore Biofil PES cartridges have excellent chemical compatibility across the full range of pH values.
Biofil PES cartridges have been validated and are ideal for applications ranging from the production of beverages to the filtration of blood and serum. They compare favourably in many applications with alternative cartridges manufactured using Nylon, Cellulose and PVDF.

Self cleaning filters are available in either manual or automatic versions with standard design options for either low pressure (14 BARG) or high pressure (35 BARG) system.
In operation the liquid enters the body and flows through the element from outside to inside.
Debris is collected on the outside of the wedge wire element, which is cleaned without flow interruption by rotating the cylindrical element against twin scraper blades.
The debris accumulated during element rotation is deposited into the bottom of the filter body from where it is periodically discharged, manually or automatically.
