The Insure Flow, Residential Alarmed Backflow System
Residential fire sprinkler systems are designed to save lives, but even the best systems won't work with closed backflow valves.
General Air Products has developed the Insure Flow, a new and innovative solution to the potentially devastating problem caused by an unsupervised closure of a backflow control valve.
Every unit is pre-assembled for fast installation and alarmed for valve closure and system flow.

The GammaRAE II-R is two instruments in one: it has the rapid response of a detector and the accurate dose measurement of a dosimeter. It is designed specifically to meet the needs of first responders.
This instrument contains two separate sensors. The Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator provides a fast, two-second response to radiological threats, while the energy-compensated PIN diode provides high dose rate range coverage and accurate dose measurements.
The GammaRAE II-R accumulates accurate total dose. Stored dosage data can be cumulative or reset for each use period. It alerts the wearer with a loud audible alarm, big, bright flashing LEDs, and a built-in vibration alarm. For stealth operations, law enforcement personnel can disable each alarm individually.
Immersible (IP67) design makes for reliable operation in wet environments and easy decontamination. IS certification permits operation in potentially flammable/explosive environments.

Ionizing radiation that is associated with radioactivity cannot be directly detected by our senses. Ionization is the process whereby the radiation has sufficient energy to strip electrons away from atoms. The ionization results in the formation of free electrons and an ionized atom that has lost some of its orbital electrons. Examples of ionizing radiation include particles such as alpha and beta particles, and photon radiation such as x-rays and gamma rays. Neutrons and protons can also cause ionizations. Since radiation can be harmful to our health, we need detectors that are capable of sensing the presence and intensity of radiation and convert it into an electrical signal to provide suitable alarm. Geiger-Müller tubes are gas-filled radiation detectors that are useful, cheap and robust. A GM tube basically detects the presence and intensity of radiation (particle frequency, rather than energy). Geiger counters are used to detect radiation (usually gamma and beta radiation, but some models can also detect alpha radiation).Geiger-mueller counters respond to the commonly encountered types of radiation, namely, alpha and beta particles as well as gamma and x-radiation. In general, GM counters cannot determine the type, energy, or vectors of the detected radiation. Generally they are used for detecting and measuring radioactivity that consists of low level beta particles and gamma-ray radiation. It has high sensitivity, versatility with various types of radiation, wide variety of shapes and windows, large output signal and reasonable cost.

The powerful indicator N1500 offers among its universal input and the 2 relay outputs for the monitoring of the threshold values many other functions. The Min.- and Max.-values can be prompted with just a keystroke. Also there is a Hold and a Peak-Hold Function whose readouts can be deleted using either the function key or the digital input. The high tact frequency of 15 measurements/second (5 measurements/second when using linear input, thermocouples or Pt100) allows the N1500 indicator to monitor fast processes. It offers also the possibility to linearise the measurement signal when using non-linear input signals (mV, V, mA).
Features:
- Universal input
- Linearization of mV, V, mA signals
- 2 Relay outputs
- 6 Alarm features
- Voltage output 24 VDC for external 2-wire transmitter
- Memory for MAX and MIN values, hold and peak features

Electromagnetic Inteference (EMI) causes equipment malfunction in many applications. EMI is an increasingly persistant problem anywhere sensitive electronics equipment is used.
Typical issues associated with EMI are equipment lock-ups, random equipment malfunction, data corruption, software and parametric errors along with many others.
