The Model FL3100 is an Ultraviolet / Infrared flame detector designed to detect fires and provide alarm outputs directly from the detector while maintaining false alarm immunity. It detects fires by monitoring in both the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) spectral ranges, making it highly immune to false alarms. There is also a hydrogen-specific detector available that detects hydrogen fires.
FL3100 Series flame detectors' electronics are integral within their explosion-proof housings, allowing detector information to be processed at the point of detection. The detectors also provide a 4-20mA stepped output signal indicating detector status. The COPM (Continuous Optical Path Monitoring) self-test feature checks the optical path integrity (window cleanliness) and the detectors' electronic circuitry once every minute. |

The design of this new generation of detectors provides 3 main features :
• Performances
• Guaranteed detection
• Easy installation, use and maintenance.
The efficiency of SIMTRONICS flame detectors offers :
• High sensitivity,
• Very short response time,
• Reliability,
• Immunity from interferences
It also guarantees protection against fire risks in industrial environments and enables the control of fire fighting.
The housings are treated specifically to resist corrosive factors (stainless steel or aluminium housings).
These TV63 UV / 2xIR detectors have a wide viewing angle (110°) and a range higher than 45 m.
The integrated relays and a 4-20mA output enable the control of the TV63 by the control units or by PLC.
The detectors are equipped with an automatic test control, which regularly checks the functionality of detection, as well as the optical and electronic integrity of the system.
The detector’s non-stop auto-tests & intrinsic quality feature SIL 2. |

The automated early fire detection system WASTE-SCAN is based on the principle of infrared thermography. It provides a continuous, non-contact temperature measurement at the surface of a waste collection, even over large distances.
Main item of the system is the high-resolution thermographic camera VarioCAM® hr head manufactured by the German company JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH. It is based on an uncooled microbolometer detector FPA.
The thermographic camera VarioCAM® hr head has the following performance parameters:
(384 x 288) or (640 x 480) pixels for high geometrical resolution
high-contrast, low-noise thermal image
localisation of hot spots, even under dusty or smokey conditions
spectral range (7.5 ... 14) µm
real-time data acquisition at 50 / 60 Hz frame rate
internal automatic calibration. |

| The Model FL4000 is an advanced multi-spectral infrared (MSIR) flame detector designed to provide superior false alarm immunity with the widest field of view. The FL4000 employs a multi-spectral optical IR sensing array with a sophisticated Neural Network Technology (NNT) system to reliably discriminate between actual flames and the vast majority of false alarm sources (such as arc welding). The FL4000 is designed to detect typical fires such as alcohol, n-heptane, gasoline, jet fuels and hydrocarbons. In addition, the FL4000 can see through dense smoke produced by diesel, rubber, plastics and lube oil fires. |
