Today’s manufacturing sector is concerned with the amount of downtime spent on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The dollars lost to unscheduled maintenance by itself can be quite substantial. All industrial facilities use some type of flexible coupling for pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other machinery.
Fact is, flexible couplings all require some type of maintenance. Gear and grid type flexible couplings require lubrication. To lubricate these types of couplings, the lube plugs must first removed and then the coupling is filled with grease. Various elastomeric type flexible couplings require periodic change of the elastomeric element. The difficultly level for different types of elastomeric couplings can vary widely. Some, like the standard jaw product, require that one of the hubs be moved back on the shaft to allow for the element to be changed-out. Machinery may have to be moved to allow for this hub movement, which can be very time consuming.
Other elastomeric designs have many fasteners and parts to be disassembled for element change-out. In either case, the time that it takes to change this element is critical for maintenance personnel. This is where the advantages of the Lovejoy Jaw In Shear 6 Pin design provide a solution to plant downtime. There are no tools necessary, no hubs to move, no messy lubrication to deal with and best of all – elements can be changed in minutes.

- For all applications in the range of general engineering and hydraulics
- Axial plug-in, easy assembly
- Compensating for axial, radial and angular shaft misalignment
- Finish bore according to ISO fit, kayway according to DIN 6885 sheet 1,
JS9 and P9
- Surface protected steel parts (zinc-coated and passivated, Cr6+free)
Caracteristics of the DELWEX - sleeves (material polyamide):
- High mechanical consistency and stiffness
- Favourable slide-friction behaviour
- High thermal stability to +100°C
- Good viscosity even in case of low temperatures
- Very good electrical insulating property
- Good resistance to chemicals
Behaviour of wear and friction of the DELWEX - sleeves:
The high thermal stability and resistance to lubricants, fuels,
dissolvents, hydraulic fluids, etc. make polyamide an ideal material
for components stressed by sliding, particularly for the coupling
production. While any metallic materials tend to "corrode" in case of
dry running, slide combinations with steel and polyamide are operative
without any lubrication and maintenance.

DELTEX - XS Torsionally flexible spider replacement couplings, made of steel or stainless steel
This patented elastic shaft coupling is a new Innovation. After removing
the safety cover the spider can exchanged easily without moving the
driving or driven side (for example motor or pump). After removing the
cover the separable spider can be exchanged without any problem.

Shaft guidance systems or ball-based or plain linear guidance systems for various areas of use and applications. Linear ball bearings are available as a light range, compact range and heavy range. Mating tracks can be solid shafts, hollow shafts or supported shaft and rail units.
The range is rounded off by a large selection of linear ball bearing and housing units and linear plain bearing and housing units. In this case, the linear ball bearings or linear plain bearings are supplied already mounted in ready-to-fit housings.
A large number of shafts (with or without machined features), shaft and support rail units and comprehensive accessories allow a broad spectrum of applications.
|
|
The shafts support rails provide a support to the shaft and are used in combination with the housing and bearing units of open design.
All of the shaft support rails are made in aluminum alloy.
They are available in multiple versions :
- FTSN, FTSW and FTSWA for mounting from the top
- FTSU for mounting from the bottom
- FTSS and FTSC for lateral mounting

* single Shaft Assemblies (SA series) are a complete pre-engineered assembly which simplifies the use of a linear bearing system in a mechanical positioning application. Each assembly has a steel shaft pre- mounted to a black anodized precision machined aluminum support. The pre- drilled base mounting holes in the 6, 12, 18, and 24 inch aluminum supports allow for easy customer mounting. The SA assemblies come in standard lengths from 6 to 192 inches and with shaft diameters from 1/2 to 2 inches.
* Twin Rail shaft assemblies are a complete pre-engineered assembly which simplifies the use of a linear bearing system in a mechanical positioning application. The two steel shafts are mounted and pre-aligned on the common base, therefore eliminating the time consuming alignment process normally required for two seperate shafts. The pre-drilled base mounting holes in the aluminum support allow for easy customer mounting. Each 6, 12, 18, & 24 inch aluminum support has two threaded holes at one end, to assist in leveling the assembly in the final mechanical structure. The TRSA assemblies come in standard lengths from 6 to 192 inches, and with shaft diameters from 1/2 to 2 inches.

A new line of safety chucks is now available from Re s.p.a. Designed for both foot or flange mounting styles, the range can support reels up to 1600 Kg in weight.
Features are as follows:
flange opening is at top central position for easy operator access, and to avoid the disassembly of the opening button in the DX or SX safety chucks;
a safety button first needs to be pushed in before the flange will open. Designing the button to be pushed eliminates potential accidental opening by centrifugal force;
components are finished to a high quality, with the safety flange being dynamically balanced and chrome plated as standard;
the inserts are replaceable and designed in a variety of shapes and sizes such as alveolar, square, round-square.
