RITTER drum-type gas meters are universally applicable for measuring the volume of flowing gases and are particularly effective when measurements demand the highest precision.
The major advantage and the superiority of volumetric Gas Meters (like Drum-type Gas Meters) over other measurement principles, which determine gas volume using secondary measurable variables such as speed, heat capacity, hot-wire resistance or similar, is that the volume is directly measured. That means that the condition and the composition of the gas has no influence on the measurement accuracy. |

The helical screw flowmeter is a high precision meter giving excellent reliability. It is mainly used for viscous fluids but will also perform well on low viscosity fluids. The basic range of meters are in aluminium or grey cast iron and stainless steel models are available. Flow rates range from 0.1 l/min to 7,500 l/min.
Suitable for wide ranges of viscosity these meters provide high accuracey measurement (+/-0.1%) for fuel and oil flows particularly for automotive and aviation test rig applications. |

Litre Meter developed the Pelton wheel principle as the best to achieve accurate measurements of low flows.
A single turbine ring size is common to all Litre Meter flowmeters. The turbine rotor is based on a highly efficient 'Pelton Wheel' design. It is available in various chemically resistant materials such as PFA (Teflon)and PVDF. The rotor ferrites are sealed to make them non-wetted parts. Sapphire bearings are offered for maximum chemical resistance as standard. These provide a very low friction mechanically-robust bearing with long life characteristics.
The rotation of the rotor is sensed by an electronic system using the interaction of ferrites in the rotor tips with a pickup coil. No drag is imposed on the rotor which assists in the measurement of extremely low flows. This, coupled with the efficient Pelton Wheel design and low friction bearings gives the meter major advantages. The complete turbine ring assembly can be easily removed with the meter remaining in line if cleaning is required.

Chemical injection fluids are normally viscous and are therefore natural applications for the VFF meter. The flowrates are relatively low and the pressure is high compared to most general industrial applications. The VFF Rotary meter is the ideal measuring element for these service requirements. Long term stability of metering and reliability is assured by the basic simplicity of design and quality of production.
VFF Meter Design & Advantages
The heart of the VFF meter is a simple but precisely made, oscillating rotor that sits freely within the rotor chamber of the meter. It is manufactured in a variety of materials. The meter principle is of 'positive displacement'. The rotor is driven 'positively' by the flow, which passes through the flowmeter in 'discrete pockets' with minimum fluid 'slippage'. This gives inherently greater accuracy than is available from axial flow turbine type meters for a low flow of a fluid more viscous than water. Each meter provides a exceptionally wide flowrange and has excellent low flow metering capability. |
|
These meters are mainly used for viscous fluids for flow rates of less than 8 l/min. We specialise in low flow metering noting that the meters will return a rangeability of 1000:1 for most viscous fluids applications. Materials are 316 stainless steel with a variety of rotor materials. We can measure from 0.00016 to 1750 l/min. (and up to 4000bar)
The VFF range of meters are specificaly designed for very low flow (0.0003l/min), high pressure (2000bar) hazardous area (Ateax approved) applications. They have been in service for over 15 years in the UK North sea oil and gas industry for chemical injection applications. |

| The Litre Meter pelton wheel flowmeter was first patented in 1975 and has an established reputation for function and reliability. Flows from 0.004 l/min can be metered up to 28 l/min using our LM series range. Large flowmeters are provided utilising the orifice/bypass principle where a wide flow range is given and the ability to measure low flows is retained. Pelton Wheel flowmeters are suitable for low viscosity clean fluids with variants in all- PFA Teflon for maximum chemical resistance and high pressure types to 2000 bar at the other end of the spectrum. |

| Racine Vortex offers high-accuracy vortex-shedding flow meters for a number of liquids and gases. The product line is quite unique: by incorporating ultrasonic technology, the meter's bluff body ("strut") has a considerably smaller footprint compared with other vortex-shedding flow meters. This results in very low pressure drop in the system. Meters are available in wafer (in-line, 1/2" to 4" size) or insertion styles (4" line size and higher). This vortex-shedding technology involves no moving parts, and the meters are virtually maintenance-free. Loop-powered gas flow meters offer HART communications, temperature compensation for mass flow measurement and gas flow standardization, CE-mark and optional ATEX hazardous area certification. Liquid flow meters also carry the CE mark. |

SIKA positive displacement flow sensors are highly accurate transmitters that measure volume flows. They work on the positive displacement principle.
The flowing medium causes a pair of gear wheels to rotate. The sensor is manufactured to the highest accuracy and is then precisely assembled. The rotation is scanned by two non-contact pick-offs. As each tooth generates a pulse, the resolution is very high. Very low flow rates can be accurately measured and small volumes can be dosed.
The measurement unit contains two pick-offs that are circumferentially offset by ¼ of a tooth pitch to generate a 2 channel flow-proportional frequency signal. Suitable processing of the signal provides an greater resolution and the option to identify the flow direction.
It is possible to measure not only high viscosity media but also media whose viscosity varies e.g. because of changes in temperature. The maximum pressure drop should not exceed 16 bars. This limits the measurement range of high viscosity media (see pressure drop diagrams). Basically, the measurement accuracy increases with increase in viscosity of the media. |

The Titan oval gear flowmeters work by using the liquid pressure to drive a pair of interlocking oval gears. This rotation can be detected by a variety of means to give either a TTL or contact closure pulse output. The unit is manufactured in a choice of materials and pressure ratings to suit most applications and as with all positive displacement flowmeters, the performance improves with increasing viscosity, and can achieve an accuracy of ± 0.1% of reading.
The standard range of sizes covers from 0.25” to 2” BSPF connections, with maximum flows from 1l/min to 500 L/min depending on the model. Viscosities up to 10,000cP can be measured accurately, both in forward and reverse flow. Units are available for high pressure and temperature operation.
