Air-water coolers are compact industrial cooling systems cha-racterised by a very special price-performance ratio. The cooling units are primarily used in applications where cooling to no more than 5 to 8 °C above the ambient temperature is required. The units are robust, uncom-plicated, technical refined and absolutely reliable in operation as all components are perfectly matched to one another, with all piping and wiring completely connected.
Eco-friendly yet cost-effective!
As freshwater is no longer needed, the costs for water supply and wastewater are dis-pensed with.
A consistently high cooling-water quality
is guaranteed by the closed cooling-water circuit, protecting the cooling channels against pollution and lime deposits.
Heat exchanger
The louver package is a parti-cularly robust design compri-sing copper pipes with alumi-nium louvers.
Pump and ventilator
Centrifugal immersion pump, housing and impeller made of brass, shaft made of Grade 1.4057 special steel. The ventilator wing is mounted on the free shaftend of the pump.

Tank made of welded and matt brushed VA sheet, Grade 1.4301.

Where normal dry coolers fail (for example due to high temperatures during the summer months), adiabatic boosters can supply additional cooling.

Apex exchangers are available at 230 or 400 volts. They are optionally fitted with a thermotic valve, with 2 or 3 ways and a progressive opening to eleminate pressure surge or variations in water supply.
This equipment does not need special maintenance.
The unique design of our air/water exchangers allows a compactness of integration, control and perfect temperature stability. They are fitted with a system for the total recovery of condensates.

Air/water heat-exchangers
The FIRA radiators for endothermic motors are designed according to customer needs and are used on tractors, self-propelled cranes, forklift trucks, harvesting equipment and other. The finning can be made of copper with inserted or Mc Kord type high-efficiency profile. Both solutions are available in a wide range of configurations and dimensions, thus permitting optimal choice according to operating conditions (low clogging or high efficiency). It is also possible to include a plate exchanger in the tank for hydraulic oil cooling. Accessories include steel or ABS ducting, expansion tanks, fans and anti-vibration mounts.

COMMON FEATURES
The air to water heat exchanger of the EXW series are the
best solution when refrigerated water or water from a cooling
tower is available. With cooling capacities from 870 W to
25000 W, eight models for wall or door mounting and one for
roof mounting, the EXW series is the most complete range
of solutions. The units from 12500 W are built into enclosure
modules for installation on the side of enclosure arrays. There
are versions for the most common power supplies. The wall
mounting units can be installed internally or externally with no
need for mounting accessories. All units are equipped with the
patented system for recovery and evacuation of condensate
(REC). The protection degree rating is IP 55 making the EXW
series the best approach when the enclosures are in aggressive
ambient air.

When connection to a cold water system is possible these compact high performance air/water heat exchangers can be used to great advantage. Large amounts of heat can be safely dissipated from enclosures (700 to 4000W with a flow rate of 200 l/h). All units are extremely flat.

Airtech Brazed Aluminum Radiators
In addition to our Bar & Plate designs, API Heat Transfer offers vacuum brazed aluminum radiators in either two-row or three-row depths and with a variety of external fins to match different environmental conditions.
These cost effective, light weight tube & header radiators are the perfect solution for either stationary or mobile engine cooling applications. Radiators can be provided as a stand alone component, but most often would be combined with our bar & plate oil coolers and CAC’s to form a complete cooling solution.
Aluminum braze significantly improves the durability of the radiator as compared to traditional soldered designs. And API Heat Transfer’s vacuum brazing process allows for the use of higher strength aluminum alloys compared to CAB brazing.
Tanks are designed to meet each customer's particular piping requirements and are welded into place for superior integrity compared to crimped-on tanks. Welded aluminum tanks can be fabricated, stamped or cast depending on application and volume.
