The Fluid Bed Dryer TG 200 is used in quality control, sample preparation and R&D departments. It permits the gentle drying of organic, inorganic, chemical or pharmaceutical bulk materials.
Suitable materials can be coarse, fine, crystalline, fibrous or leafy. The powerful fan ensures optimal air throughput so that the products to be dried are loosened up and thoroughly mixed. The TG 200 can also be used for drying laboratory items such as test sieves.

FLUID BED DRYER DESIGN
The rectangular fluid bed dryer system, CONTACT FLUIDIZERTM incorporates back-mix and plug flow sections. A rotary distributor disperses the wet feed evenly over the back-mix section equipped with contact heating surfaces immersed in the fluidized layer.
The heating surfaces of this fluid bed dryer are designed to avoid deposits and obtain a high heat transfer in the fluidized layer, and they provide a significant portion of the required energy.
Fluid Bed Dryer - CONTACT FLUIDIZER
Therefore it is possible to reduce both the temperature and the flow of gas through the system. This is particularly important for heat sensitive products.
Specially designed perforated gill plates allow handling of oversizes and minimize powder holdup by grade changes.
The heating panels can be inspected or cleaned externally.
Cleaning in place (CIP) of the whole plant is often provided.
Subsequent plug flow sections are used for postdrying and cooling, if required.

The plants are characterized by an enormous flexibility. By means of individual adaptation of the inlet air conditions which can be adjusted section-wise, the weir adjustment for optimization of the retention time distribution and the integrated filter concept, particles can be formulated exactly according to the customer's demands.
In order to meet the requirements of the EC Directive 94/9 (ATEX 95), the continuous fluidized bed plants can be equipped with certified explosion suppression systems according to the available product data and depending on the risk assessment for dust explosions.
The GMP design allows simple and quick cleaning, especially as WIP systems for automatic cleaning can be integrated.
