These fuse links are intended to protect high-voltage distribution networks and transformers according to the International Standard IEC 60282-. They are of current-limiting type and for indoor as well as outdoor use.
The line is made by:
· Back-up fuse links with or without CPD (Controlled Power Dissipation),
· General Purpose type fuse links.
The line lies between 3/7.2 kV and 20/36 kV of rated voltage.
Two ranges exist in this line :
· International range complying with IEC 60282-1,
· German range complying with IEC 60282-1 (VDE 0670 T4) as well as VDE 0670 T402.
The Controlled Power Dissipation (CPD) from Ferraz Shawmut is driven par power dissipation and not only by temperature. While operating faster, it avoids high temperatures especially in SF6 switchgear. The mechanism of the CPD actuates the ‘medium’ type striker of the fuse link. In that case a combination with a switch is required.

Application:
Cylindrical fuse-links are used as the most secure protection of electrical installations, control, and signal
circuits against overloads and short circuit currents. Theirs dimensions comply with IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2-1.
They are used mainly in industrial areas, since their dimensions allow for voltages of up to 690V. The most common

NV KOMBI advantages
ETI is introducing a new generation of low-voltage fuse-links from size NV00C up to to NV3 with new, dual indication
of fuse-link operation, called KOMBI. The indicator is easily visible on the top and centre of the fuse link, whether it is
situated in a standard fuse base or vertical fuse rail or in fuse-switch disconnector.
The most important advantages of NV/NH KOMBI fuse-links:

Bulgin’s extensive range of fuseholders are designed to give the degree of protection demanded in today’s sophisticated electronic equipment. Carrying world-wide safety approvals from UL, VDE, CSA, SEMKO and IMQ, all types are manufactured from high grade flame retardant nylon and polyester materials.
