Oxygen Flue gas analyzer BA 2000
In combustion applications such as process heaters, steam generation boilers or industrial furnaces, the amount of air needed to reach optimum system efficiency can vary rapidly.
Accurate O2 measurement is also essential in the control of NOx and SOx emissions. Equipped with a fast responding sensor and attached directly to the fire box, this professional analyzer provides immediate information to allow adjustment of the combustion process in real-time.
The BA 2000 is designed to ensure accurate and rapid measurement in most combustion processes. The unique fast loop design continuously provides a fresh sample gas stream to the zirconium oxide sensor. The sensor enclosure is heated to 180 °C to avoid condensation. The zirconium oxide sensor does not need any reference gas. 1-point-calibration of the sensor takes place with instrument air which is also used for the aspirator driving the sample gas. Optionally, a 2-point-calibration may be performed.
The measurement cell is protected against dust and particulates by a heated filter. The filter element can be easily replaced without tools by a 90° turn of the handle. Filter elements are available in ceramic, sintered or pleated stainless steel. The BA 2000 can be used with these industrial filters for dust loads up approx. 2g/m³. When the dust load exceeds this limit, additional in-situ filters are available.

Atmospheric aerosol plays an important role in atmospheric processes There are various sources of atmospheric aerosols including combustion of fossil fuels, biomass burning or mineral dust from desert region. The degree of contribution to the above mentioned effects depends on the type of aerosols, therefore there is a strong need for instruments which can measure not only the total concentration of atmospheric aerosols, but can also classify it. Photoacoustics was always recognized as a highly promising method for qualitative analysis of aerosols, as it can measure directly the amount of light absorption by aerosols, while being largely insensitive to uncharacteristic light scattering. However photoacoustic differentiation between aerosols was strongly hindered by the fact that optical absorption spectra of aerosols are highly uncharacteristic, when measured in a narrow wavelength range. We have developed and patented a method of measuring photoacoustically the absorption spectra in a wide wavelength range, i.e. from the near-infrared to the UV. With our MuWaPas system it is possible top differentiate between aerosol types.
Besides aerosols, we also offer gas industrial monitoring systems for ammonia, methane, ozone or BTEX monitoring.

Extractive process gas analysis is characterized by the fact that a sample is extracted from the process line and conveyed to the analyzer. Typically, the sample is extracted by a probe, then transported through a sample line and conditioned before being processed to the analyzer.
Siemens has integrated numerous extractive analytical methods in the series 6 industrial analyzers family with a modular and consistent housing and operating concept. Each of the analyzers is thereby a class of its own:
IR-active components: ULTRAMAT 6 and ULTRAMAT 23
IR-active components and Oxygen
Oxygen: OXYMAT 6 and OXYMAT 61 and OXYMAT 64
Hydrocarbons (total content measurement): FIDAMAT 6
Hydrogen and noble gases: CALOMAT 6 and CALOMAT 62 |

| The continuous measurement of oxygen and COe (combustibles) in cement plants has always been a challenge for any type of analysing probe. Up to now, it’s been nearly impossible to extract measuring gas for continuous analysing systems, because the probe becomes “cemented over and sealed” very quickly, resulting in extremely high maintenance costs and kiln production down time. Now ENOTEC has solved these special analysing problems in the cement industry with the new analysing system called CEMTEC®. Now Cement plants are able to significantly reduce their maintenance costs to a fraction of their previous costs. Mounted in a water-cooled outer jacket, the measuring probe is continuously turning +/- 90°. This keeps the gas inlet area free of cement and prevents the dust build up on the probe professional filter. Additionally, a highly effective automatic industrial cleaning system with pressurised air ensures that the probe with its dust filtration and the gas channels remain completely clean and clear. The InSitu probe measures oxygen using a ZrO2 cell and the COe concentration with a Ga2O3 sensor. The system delivers 2 continuous measuring signals with a response time less than 1 second. In addition, it is also possible to extract flue gas for the extractive type flue gas analysis (SO2, NOx, etc.). |
