The self-checking SAFYR PACKSCAN flame detectors are designed for monitoring solid or liquid fuel burners (oil, pulverised coal, heavy liquid residues). They are adapted for multi-burner installations by facilitating flame discrimination.
A binary safety signal is transmitted in the presence or absence of a flame. The output signal is also available on terminals for recording or remote display purposes.
Operation of the SAFYR PACKSCAN flame detector is based on the characteristic flickering phenomena of flames, generally between 0 to 150HZ. It uses a silicium photodiode cell, adapted to the combustion frequency in the visible light band (320 to 1100nm).
A display indicates all the configured parameters, as well as the detection level.
30 years of experience in the field of flame detection gives the SAFYR PACKSCAN the following advantages :
An all in one concept with an integrated amplifier in the scanner head for easy installation.
Two microprocessors for increased safety and reliability.
Approved by APAVE to meet all safety criteria requirements
Detection level indicator to simplify commissioning
Various standard confi guration methods by internal switches, by remote and by serial link, to simplify configuration
Two SPDT output switches to indicate flame presence and proper detector operation |

Low noise and wide bandwidth transimpedance preamplifier (10kHz to 1 GHz, in dependence on detector capacitance). The devices enforces DC bias that is required for optimized operation of a given type of infrared detector. Integrated with detectors packages are available.
Applications:
- Quantum cascade laser detection
- Laser technology
- Fast laser pulse measurement
- Telemetry
- Sighting systems
- Free space optics (l=10µm, transfer Gb/s)
The detector is followed by the high performance preamplifier specially designed to obtain the best performance from the VIGO System's detector. Each preamplifier is carefully optimized to work with particular type of detector. The preamplifier ensures stable work in all conditions and the highest signal to noise ratio of the whole system.

The integrated IR detector and preamplifier module has been designed especially for various OEM applications, eg. contactless temperature measurement, pyrometers, scanners, free space optical communication, laser detection, gas analysis, Fourier spectroscopy, fire and human body detection and nondestructive material testing.
SIPAC series is characterized by high signal to noise ratio, bandwidth up to 250 MHz and very small dimensions. The infrared TE cooled detector is integrated with AC or DC coupled transimpedance or voltage preamplifier. High performace is achieved with individual matching of the IR detector to the preamplifier and good heat dissipation management. The device can be easily adjusted to the customer's specific requirements. |

| Newly developed type PCI-2TE-13 photodetector designed and optimised for FTIR applications. This new detector has a wide, 1- 13 µm, spectral bandwidth and broad linear output range. Detector's responsivity is stabilized with built-in two-stage Peltier cooler, keeping the sensitive element at temperature 220- 240 K. Performance of the devices has been improved with heterostructure design, optical resonance and hyperhemispherical immersion. Constant voltage bias and current readout should be used for the best performance and linearity. The spectral characteristics of the detector can be modified according to specific requirements. Standard detectors are available in modified TO- 8 packages with BaF2 windows. Other packages, windows and connectors are available upon request. |

NDIR Carbon Dioxide - Infared Sensors
Alphasense contemporary designed miniature CO2 infra-red sensors are self-contained, plug in sensors with integrated optics contained within standard sized miniature (20.0 mm) gas sensor housings. There are no moving parts within the sensors. An internal temperature sensor is included to enable the temperature to be monitored at the detectors, thereby providing the best means of compensating for temperature effects, including ideal gas law corrections.
CO2 Gas Ranges
IR-CO2-A1 Carbon Dioxide 0 to 5,000-ppm
IR-CO2-A1 Carbon Dioxide 0 to 5% Volume
IR-CO2-A1 Carbon Dioxide 0 to 20% Volume
IR-CO2-A1 Carbon Dioxide 0 to 100% Volume |
|
The Alphasense patented carbon dioxide sensor is a world first in CO2 monitoring:
Requires no power
Operates at room temperature
One sensor measures from 500ppm to 95% CO2
Small size
Low cost
Simple interfacing
Using the potentiometric measuring principle with our patented silver halide solid state electrolyte, this sensor does not have the high power requirement or high price tag of NDIR technology. This sensor is ideal where low cost and low power are critical for CO2 measurement.
This sensor is the result of seven years of research and development, and this work continues. While not as accurate as NDIR, and not suitable for IAQ measurements, this sensor is ideal for safety alarms, combustion gas monitoring and high CO2 process monitoring.

Sensor Interface
In order to derive a signal from the Alphasense infa-red sensors, the lamp should be pulsed at a constant frequency and duty cycle and power should be applied to the on-chip FET transistors. The signal can then be extracted from the on-chip FET transistor sources and the internal sensor temperature can also be monitored continuously. |

General description
di-soric infrared distance sensors OAA... are characterised by a large operating distance, while having a very good colour independence. Thanks to the large diameter of light spot uneven surfaces of stones, sintered material or rough boards will be safely detected. Due to that di-soric infrared distance sensors OAA... are especially suitable for height control in concrete and gravel works, brickyards as well as saw mills. Two independently from each other adjustable thresholds enable diverse operation possibilities.
